Lipps, Inc. featuring Tamara from Tamara and The Seen Lipps, Inc. is best known for their disco hit "Funkytown" in 1980 but they continued making records even after that. In 1985, Tamara recorded "Does Anybody Know Me" with Lipps, Inc. before she was with Tamara and The Seen. Very Minneapolish....

Yep, it was. Some idiot edited the wiki page with this fauxtoid: This song is a complete rip off of the 1971 Doors song, "The Changeling," which appeared on the Doors L.A. Woman album.
Actually, the whole wiki page is wrong about it being metaphorical, etc. It was actually a very pointed song. Someone needs to go in and edit that page. It does have a lot of semblance in parts to "The Changeling", but it's not really a rip off. | |
