Chaka Khan & Rick Wakman "1984" Chaka contributed lead vocals on 3 cuts from Ric Wakman's 1981 release "1984". Unfortunately, many Chaka fans don't know about these songs, which finds her stepping way outside of the Pop/R&B world. I think these are some of her finest vocal performances and are just a small sampling of her amazing versitility.

WOW,,,,you're right this is the 1st time I heard these(minus the 1st one).
The 2nd one(the title track) is wild,,,,wild wild WIL God, songs like these are testimonies of the range this lady possess. I still marvel at her rendition of "Summertime", right then & there I discovered what am eclectic artist she is.

Yeah, I've had the album "1984" for years. Iam not so much a Rick Wakeman fan as Iam of his work in Yes, but I saw the vinyl dirt cheap so I gave it a try. Time Rice did the lyrics as it was supposed to be on stage. It never happened but its not a bad album though.
I too was surprised to see Chaka on there. I love that she is versitile.
