Did I miss something? Where are the people bashing vegetarians on this thread? as I recall, the thread was getting along fine and with a bit of humor until the pro-PETA people came on here and started bashing anyone who wants to wear fur. And the name-calling that was aimed at Kelis was uncalled for. it was pretty much agreed she is nuts and most of us are against wearing fur but even for those who do wear fur, why am I or who are YOU to judge them for it? There are a ton of things someone could make a judgment call on any of you for. You are no better than anyone else here and the high horse that some of you get on makes those of us who don't support fur want to stay the hell out of the fight.
did i miss something ? has it become cool to bash us veggies with that dumb crap ? or is it supposed to be funny ? i fail to see the humour it's 'bait'

most people are omnivores and nature/God has designed us this way for our survival. omnivores just want a little extra luxury in addition to their appetite. PETA ought to focus more on the starving people of the world rather than celebrities and their fur coats. Shit most of us can't afford to shop like Kellis so it's not like she's single-handedly killing all the chinchillas of the world. | |

I find it hypocritical of the folks in this thread who got bent outta shape by THAT comment from Kelis, and never even raised an eyebrow by Ingrid's remark about slavery. I'm not saying PETA doesn't have a positive role in this world or that they haven't helped in limiting the amount of animals killed for their fur but...they need to improve their tactics, stop with the shock value, acknowledge that humans are animals that deserve to thrive also and without us there would be no PETA, and stop worrying about bunny rabbit coats and deer skins because those animals breed fine and dandy and there are plenty to go around. Plus the bunnies breed faster than you can say "BAAMMBBIII.....Can't you understaaaannnndddd!!!"  | |
