The RIT audio is fantastic, better than the I'm Going To Tell You A Secret live CD!

Gotta love the "Can You Feel It" sample at 2:30 and 3:25 in "Material Girl"!

Is that footage from the (rumored) DVD? It looks FANTASTIC! They need to release this thing!!

Yes, it's "the leak", but it's not completely identical to what they would release as a DVD, because it's only one of the 2 Lisbon shows and the backdrop video images are not intercut with the footage.

That said, I doubt they would bother with issuing this show on DVD after this leak. Also, Madonna prefers her shows recorded differently, like I'm Going To Tell You A Secret, The Confessions Tour and S&ST, where the approach is more like a music video, so if she really wanted to release RIT on DVD, it would be the Paris footage from the documentary...

WB (or is this a Live Nation product but not considered under her contract as studio album) really screwed up. Epix, the online movie channel which looks really cool if you like movies but you're fed up with TV telling you want to watch, has it up there! And it's not out on DVD for a month!

It would be nice. Madonna and Warner Bros (and Live Nation if they have any say in it) have to realize that things like this that are already available online have no reason to be couped up in the vault. Forget about bootlegs....people can see it for free online. At a certain point, she will piss off her fanbase if she hasn't already. I realize that something like "Celebration" (both the DVD and CD sets) are going to be controversial because of what you include and don't, but in the case of the live shows, they are already out there and taped....just release the shows....don't even need extras.

Rumor of the week: Madonna's new album

New rumor by Rukydee of Fanzine:

According to P-square of the Nigerian afro-beat duo....they are crafting afro-rock sounds for madonna's next album.P-square have been a huge success on the african continent for the last decade with their African hip-hop sound blending it with afro beat rock sounds.....this comes form p-square themselves who are currently on an African tour.

P-square have stated they are only co-writers and providing backing vocals to madonna's single which will appear on her next album.....and already have a sample of a sound submitted to them by a french-african producer who they failed to disclose under strict orders from madonna's camp .The sample is to guide the rhythm of their vocals and co-written bits....they have been rehearsing to morphed vocals of madonna singing to hard rock sound that sounds so masculine (auto controlled to sound male) her voice keeps switching from her usual voice to a man's voice ....they simply state that the record sounds '' very creative and ground breaking ''

Apparently David Guetta is half Moroccan.

Where did you get this from? No capitalizing Madonna's name? The song is already the new single even though the album certainly isn't finished! The collaboration, if true, might be interesting though.

no "Miles Away","Heartbeat" or "Into The Groove"? disbelief What's the point in releasing a live CD that doesn't include all of the songs that were performed in the show??

Honestly, this is starting to become a real problem! Pet Shop Boys new set does the same thing (the full concert on DVD but not all the songs...at the very least they TRY to fill up the CD, which is nice, but for a few more bucks, put all the songs on TWO CDs....we'll pay because we want it!).

I think it might be an issue with the price, if they put 3 discs in one package then it would be priced higher and Warner/LN does not want to lose buyers. So they compromise with making a selection of 13 tracks THEY (or Madonna?) think are the most appealing.

Hopefully this is a Warner only thing and her next tour won't have a useless CD like this.

Exactly. It would make a lot of sense to finally release a full live show on audio. This trend is embarrassing.

Did anyone buy the "Revolver" maxi-single that was just released? I bought it,just for collection purposes (I buy all of her maxi-singles).I have to say,the "Celebration" remix with Akon is an improvement over the regular version. It's still a sucky song (lol) but the remix sounds much more lively and fun.Akon brings a little more life to it.The "Revolver" remixes aren't terrible, but it's the same stuff we've heard over and over.Predictable dub/techno mixes.

Where Madonna goes, Liz follows

Legendary music publicist Liz Rosenberg - who represents icons like Madonna, Cher, and Stevie Nicks - is leaving Warner Bros. Records after almost 40 years at the label.
Rosenberg is starting her own agency called Liz Rosenberg Media. Rosenberg's new venture will represent Madonna, who left Warner Bros. for LiveNation in 2007, and as part of an ongoing consultancy role with WB, several artists still on the label.
'No one has had a more thrilling ride than I have had during my decades at Warner Bros. Records where I grew up and learned my craft,' Rosenberg said in a press release. 'I was given the opportunity to work with the most talented artists in music history. I'm grateful that I will continue to represent some of these artists, in addition to several new artists.'
