'Part concert, part block party and all fun, there is still only one Madonna,' raved the Oakland Press in their review of the 'Sticky & Sweet' Tour. 'A night of triumph and defiance....A two hour multi-media juggernaut,' glowed the LA Times. 'Our lady of perpetual motion…This may be the best tour she’s ever stitched together,' claimed the NY Post.

It's about time. I'm part of a Madonna forum online, and this news FINALLY came out the other day about the release. This tour went on FOREVER. It started August 2008, and ended September 2009. I'll get the BluRay, but at this point, I'm almost NOT interested in it anymore. Lordy.....old hat at this point.

Hope the CD won't be another useless 13-track crap with the essential songs cut out. They should either make it a double album, or put on some studio versions on it, otherwise it's useless, since it's identical to the audio on the DVD...

I hope this footage is as interesting as the backstage/rehearsal footage that we saw on the Confessions Tour DVD lol Remember that crazy scene when Madonna gets pissed at one of her backup singers? She acts all bitchy!

It's a very clean and simple vocal style....U have to be really with me,or it's not gonna work

rolleyes lol

I liked the Confessions Tour live CD boxed Granted,it wasn't the entire concert, but it included the best parts.

The IGTTYAS live CD is atrocious, though disbelief They included the wrong songs, and left out some truly inspired performances from that tour.

I was going to guess that it's exactly that! The best part is that they never pick the right songs, either!

I love Madonna, but she LOVES releasing the same things over and over and over. I love the fact that the DVD of the tour is coming out, but I could care less about the book. Also the Celebration vinyl is cool.

Huh? She does not. confused She actually does not like releasing stuff, she never cashed in on Virgin Tour/Blond Ambition DVDs and Celebration was her first GH that overlapped her previous 2 hit compilations.

I'm happy that she keeps releasing these concert DVD/CD combos lol Prince fans are always complaining that he doesn't release enough concert footage. It's a nice treat for the fans and I hope Madonna continues to do it.

Madonna knows exactly how to appease her vast fanbase, unlike her Purple contemporary. Thanks for the news report; I can't wait to own the Blu-ray.

2 tours out of how many did she not release dvds for?

As for Celebration, I think it was a perfect way to close out a record contract, but Madonna has released so many compilations until I'm tired of buying the same old songs over and over.

As a casual Madonna fan, I think she releases too many compilations and Live releases (especially in the last 10 or so years). That's just my twocents

I totally get that, but I think Madge is doing it now because her concert dvds are selling better than her album packages.

P wants to force us to LIKE/LOVE his new stuff and keep the concerts for when he's ready to retire. lol

She had 8 tours and this will be the 5th DVD, and only the 3rd live album.

There are 6 Madonna compilations in total, but 2 of them are remix albums and one of them is a ballad compilation and they were released in a 22 year long span. I don't see how that's "too much" compared to someone like MJ who had the same amount since 2001...
