Random fact: Janet was the first person in music history to have the most R&B #1's off one album.

She takes breaks and cruise the waters on yachts with Jay, but paparazzi is always following her, keeping her in the headlines. She should isolate herself at Neverland. LOL
It's how her stuff is released. She has videos are still coming out when she's jumping off rocks in Barbados. Then just when it dies down.....there's about a 4 month lull (that is heavenly), and BAM, she's back again after ALLEGEDLY recording her album in two-weeks (and it showed). It's a constant stream of Beyonceshit. She doesn't need to take a break, she needs to GIVE us a break.

Joe's management was listed on MJ's OTW and Thriller album and MJ fired him before he released OTW. What the hell do you think "Control" is about? I actually bought the album when it came out, I know what the album is about (which reportedly upset her parents). Obviously there is no love lost between the Jackson clan and Joseph. None of us know the Jackson clan personally and we don't know why many things were done. All I can go by is what is listed by the artist herself in the credits. Obviously Joe wasn't involved with the recording of Control (this was the point of her leaving home to record the album), but he was still at the time CONTRACTUALLY her manager. Do I need to bring a lawyer onto the org to explain what a contract is? And as far as Beyonce (which the topic is ACTUALLY about), I am sure that Mathew has her so locked up in legal paperwork that she couldnt piss without his permission or him getting paid. [Edited 1/12/10 17:07pm] Do you have the contract in your hands to back up these claims? You're going off the credits on the Control album that came out in '86 (assuming you have the custom copy from the year '86). I'm going off what Janet said in many interviews And also a custom CD that was printed in '90 that DOESN'T have Joe's production company on it. If he was her manager he would still be on the back of the CD but he's not.

I have three people coming at me. That means my job is done. In one of the many books on Michael Jackson (I don't remember which one), the author talked about how after Control hit, he belittled Michel, who at the time still lived down the hall from Janet at Havenhurst, bragging that he still has a hitmaker under his belt with Janet(that was until he was obviously later let go). Anyone else??? Bring it on. [Edited 1/12/10 17:27pm] "POOR IS THE MAN WHO'S PLEASURES DEPEND ON THE PERMISSION OF ANOTHER" Madonna

[Edited 1/12/10 17:43pm] Where did I say what you read was wrong? I believe what you're saying but I disagree that it's proof he managed her in the Control era (when he really didn't). The 1986-'87 custom copies DO have his production company stamped on it but the 1990 copies don't. Even IF he stopped managing her in '90 the copies should have his production company on it since he supposedly managed her when she released Control like you're claiming.

Minus the pre-recorded vocals, the girls had energy and a stage presence like no other

I thought this thread was about Beyonce? Wth happened?
Back on topic though, Beyonce says she's going on a break for 6 months? What kinda break is that? That's nothing. She needs to take a good 2 year break. Give people a chance to miss her. Hopefully when she comes back from her break, however long it is, she'll actually come back and make some good music for once.
