I don't think Madonna, Kylie or Janet don't have to worry about competing with GaGa, just do them. I still support Janet and Madonna (if their stuff is good).

My diva has taken a backseat to the Gaga, as you call her (smile), but my diva has had her day and has taken many backseats, proudly, I'd say. Let Lady Gaga have hers until someone else takes the spotlight from her. It's the nature of the music industry beast. I do hope that my diva releases more new songs and gets them promoted better than her recent release, but, for the most part, it's just all about hearing something new from my diva as opposed to having the world see her as greatness. I see her that way already. That's all that matters. Besides, a true diva shares the spotlight. She (or he) doesn't hog it. Even still, it's the world who decides how big someone's star is. Right now, the world (not all of it) loves Gaga...until the next shooting star bursts out onto the skyline.

I can comment on whatever I wish - it doesn't mean I "acknowledge" her. I don't listen to her, I don't buy her music, I don't watch her videos, I don't watch her on award shows, I don't listen to her yammer on about stuff. the few references I have of her have been in passing, channel surfing, or whatever I run across. I don't actively search her out, and I don't pay her my time when I can help it.

I'm sad to say she's being played waaaaay more than Madonna is right now, but as soon as her majesty releases some new stuff, I'm sure all will be back to normal. I loved me some Gaga
