This entire album was the SHYT!! My dad used to play this often, when I was a child. I recently got it on CD. Love this track and the title cut!!

This entire album was the SHYT!! My dad used to play this often, when I was a child. I recently got it on CD. Love this track and the title cut!!




biggrin Ndeed! I grew up on it, too! Love those 2 cuts, as well as their version of Aretha's "I'm In Love"!

It's Kool that the CD version has alternate takes, too!

Yes, it does. Hey Paligap, have you ever heard of a group called, "Players Association"? They came out around the 70's and had a version of "For the love of you", that was SMOKIN!!

Yup! Disco-Funk band from the mid-late 70's - I remember that a lotta horn players, from Mike and Randy Brecker, to Dave Sanborn and Lew Soloff used to show up on those albums! I'm trying to remember that version of 'For The Love Of You', but I definitely remember uptempo stuff like this :

My dad has their first two albums, the first containing their version of, "For the love of you". Their version has got to be one of the best covers that I have EVER heard....
