Um, pissing on and screwing around with underage girls that he lied to and used his fame to take advantage of is not on the same level as drug use.

Can you provide valid sources of Robert screwing and releasing himself on underage girls? No, you can't. How did he use his fame as an advantage? You're not making any sense.

There are valid sources of the Debarges abusing drugs. Guess that makes them just as bad, eh? rolleyes arrow

Did you not see the video that everyone else saw? That was not his brother pissing on that girl,it was him. That was his Soul Train award there. Not to mention, he married Aaliyah when she was 15.

Drug use does not make you a sick human, it means you have an addiction. What R Kelly did was sick and disgusting.

Did you know that his brother was living with him before they stopped talking (after Carey stabbed his brother in the back for $$$)? No. bored2 Don't speak on things you have no knowledge of. Thanks wink

What is photoshop?

Drug abuse is considered an immoral act. I just think it's stupid to deem R. disgusting and etc. when you don't know him. Anyways, if you don't like him and find him so gross don't bother responding in threads dedicated to him wink

Go listen to the Jackson 5 ripoffs Debarges.

And taking advantage of teen girls is not the same as drug use. You have an addiction, you are not an immoral person per se. I don't have to know the man to know what he did is wrong. It is fact that he married Aaliyah when she was 15. The marriage license was published in Entertainment Weekly and other reputable mags. No sane or well adjusted man marries a 15 year old.

And so what, if his brother was living with him? What does that have to do with anything?

But you like him, so to each his own

Taking advantage? falloff

I swear if this was your regular Joe people wouldn't say shit. Anyways, wouldn't you have to be in the room to know if it was him. Detectives watched the tape and the jurors did too. The guy in the video is his brother Carey Kelly.

That marriage license could've easily been photoshopped.

It's his brother.

I used to work for Time Warner, who publishes Entertainment Weekly among other things. I have worked on stories that have taken days to be vetted by their lawyers, who are among the best in the country. They don't publish photoshopped material. That was a real license. If it hadn't been, Aaliyah's parents and R Kelly would have sued. Trust.

BULLSHIT!!

First of all the marriage license was featured on Vibe magazine first falloff (Yet they still featured him on the front cover of their magazine for years after the whole fiasco) and other news outlets caught on. 2nd Aaliyah's parents and uncle basically sold her to R. Kelly. They saw how much fame and recognition R. was getting after 12 play and seeked him to pen her debut album. She stayed at his house and everything.

If I remember correctly, the jurors had to find Kelly guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt. Doing this was difficult, especially since both Kelly and his brother, bare a strong resemblance to one another. This placed doubt in their minds and therefor he was found, not guilty. This does not prove however, that it was no Kelly that committed the crime. It just proves that the jury could not tell if it was Kelly or his brother on that tape.

Nevermind that Kelly's story kept changing.

It went from it wasn't him on the tape, it was his brother. BTW, classy move throwing his brother under the bus.

Then, he said it was him on the tape, but the girl was over 18.

Then apparently, it went back to his brother being on the tape.

He's a real family man, I see!!!

Actually, he was found not guilty due to lack of evidence. The only people saying it was him was the girl's side of the family and Carey Kelly. They also said it was hard to determine whether it was him due to the quality of the tape and also the guy in the video has a mole on his back which R. doesn't have. He was basically accused for allegedly being the man in the tape. So they can't put him in jail for allegedly being the one.
