Thats a basic moonwalk. I think Boogalooshrimp was the key of moonwalking and sliding. He did it in tennis shoes and on concrete which is very impressive. MJ cant touch this dude.

Who do you think taught Michael? falloff Mike was up there with Shrimp by the Dangerous tour. Michael worked with Chambers and Jeffery Daniels extensively during 82-87

Shrimp's was still better. Just much more creativity with his. MJ got a chance to showcase it in front of millions of ppl because he had the voice, the music and the hit songs. Shrimp was just a dude pop locking at Banning High School having 1 on 1 battles by the bus stop after school and got on the Breakin movie.

He was in the breakin' film because of his connections. He had dancing with Shabadoo and I think the Lockers before he hooked up with MJ and the movie

Shrimp's interpretation, Michael's interpretation, and Jeffery's interpretations are different. All cool looking, but all give a certain flare that makes them unique

Well from the movie I am hoping they will have an extended insight into Dirty Diana, and maybe a longer dance jam with Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, and I am hoping Who Is It (as I am convinced after seeing the film 5 times in the cinema that that version was a live version as every instrument beside the drum track was new).

I would have thought that if new songs were on there they would be hyping it as such eg: "plus never seen before performances of XXXXX"

Does anyone already have this? Has anyone already seen anything of this?
Some people seem to already have the screenshots of this.

I´d like to know if it´s worth buying the double DVD for the Behind the scenes on Band, Dancers and Vocalist. Is there Mike at all? If not, I don´t really care about it.

‘This Is It’ DVD dazzling, insightful

By BRUCE KIRKLAND, QMI Agency

Last Updated: 25th January 2010, 2:28pm

The evidence is not just agonizing, it is electrifying: Had he lived, Michael Jackson would have again made pop music HIStory in his meticulously planned 2009 concert tour, This is It.

This evidence is easy to access. Kenny Ortega’s now-legendary documentary film, Michael Jackson’s This is It, arrives on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday. It comes to home entertainment as the most successful documentary and concert film ever released. It earned $259.3 million in theatres worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.

The film itself, careening from big picture dazzling to deliciously insightful, is enough to make the case. But the hour-plus bank of extras on the DVD, along with two exclusive featurettes on Blu-ray, clinch the deal.

You don’t even have to like Jackson — whose life had been mired in controversy for most of his 50 years — to appreciate the genius of his musicianship and showmanship.

The most astonishing thing about both the doc and the extras is that Ortega does not just tell us about Jackson’s still vibrant talent at the time. Rather, he actually shows it in action — usually in detail, sometimes in subtle ways, yet always unvarnished and unvanquished.

This is It, the film, carries a loaded tagline: “Discover the man you never knew.” This is true. The discovery comes as a shock when you try to juxtapose the Jackson you see here with the Jackson who died June 25 from cardiac arrest, allegedly as a result of the drugs propofol, lorazepam and midazolam being administered by his personal physician. The case is being investigated as a homocide. You would expect to see some of the effects in the film, even inadvertently. Not so: Jackson is alert, dynamic and totally in the moment every second.

Not surprisingly, the circumstances of his death are not dealt with in the film nor on DVD and Blu-ray. The film does not actually even mention Jackson’s fate. Instead, it is simply dedicated to Jackson’s three children.

The featurettes do acknowledge Jackson’s sad ending, however. Memories of Michael (on both DVD and Blu-ray) handles this matter delicately. Some from Jackson’s inner circle are moved to tears. Others talk calmly about Jackson’s friendship, his L-O-V-E, his environmentalism, even his bubbly sense of humour (who knew?).

Others, such as production designer Michael Cotten, find expressive ways to explain an admiration for Jackson’s music: “I think his thoughts came out through his songs, and his songs became his thoughts.”

Tour director Ortega, a long-time Jackson confidente, is featured prominently in the featurettes. “No matter how hard sometimes the world came down on him,” Ortega says of his friend, “he only reacted back with love.”

Ortega clearly shared that love. “He was a king,” Ortega says of Jackson. “A king of hearts, and a king of entertainers, and a king of imagination, and a king of a father and a king of a friend. And, really, if I could’ve, I would have crowned him myself.”

Remarkably, perhaps, This is It is not a requiem. Not even when you watch Memories of Michael. Instead, it is a celebration, albeit one tinged with sadness and regret.

So we get to see the mind-boggling tour costumes designer Zaldy created, always with input from the King of Pop. A featurette on dancer auditions shows how Jackson was involved with the stage performances as much as he was concerned with the music. He participated, behind-the-scenes, in the filming of new Thriller and Smooth Criminal shorts. He inspired and supervised every note, every pause, every phrase, every beat of the music, in loving collaboration with his musicians.

This is the Michael Jackson who would have taken the stage in London last year. This is It really would have been IT.

I went to Best Buy and purchased the Blu-ray edition because it has a retailer exclusive bonus disc and a collector-worthy 3D backstage pass replica. The extra Blu-ray disc includes a "Dancing Machine" featurette & digital copy for PSP. Oh yeah!

I got mines two weeks early and it's the regular version but has features on there too. I heard the Dirty Diana performance is on the wal-mart version but no michael in it so i'm good. Too many versions of that movie
