I saw the Unsung with Shalamar a few weeks ago and as far as I'm concerned, she doesn't have to explain anything else.
It sounded like Jody was not valued, seen as "just a dancer that anyone could replace" and they basically wanted her to shut up, and do what she was told.
I also got the vibe that Howard Hewitt was a grade A creep and saw himself as a mega star, all the while making unwanted advances on Jody.

People are pissed with Ms Watley for not wanting to be part of a Shalamar reunion buy why should she?
She's proven that on her own she's very talented and has been a successful solo artist.
SHE DOES NOT NEED THEM!

Honestly,i don't think most people care. There was so much change in the
group before the official breakup,i doubt it seriously if people are waiting
in line for a Shalamar reunion. Yes Jody has been successful on her own but
so has Howard Hewitt in fact he is actually doing shows now as we speak.
I like two of Jody's solo albums but the rest were mostly miss.
Howard definitely was the better singer out of all the members of Shalamar
and the group took off once he joined.

I personally feel that Jody would do wonders writing a book (or even continuing to explain herself on YouTube) on why there won't be a Shalamar reunion. It'll be great if all three of them can talk it over and wonder what went wrong I don't want any of them to leave this world bitter at each other. That's what has killed most black groups unfortunately.

I cant blame Jody one iota for taking the stance that she has all these years.

As you mentioned before Timmy, Ms. Watley should write a book, tell the good, bad, and the very ugly. Daniel's and Hewett can grovel all they want, they'll never be a reunion of Shalamar.

Even Though Howard was the voice of the group I wouldn't be checking for a shalamar reunion without Jody , she really is a BIG part of that group.

Looks like Jody is planning to write her memoirs soon.

In any case,it seems like a Shalamar reunion is out of the question.I can't imagine them being able to put all this behind them and regroup.
