Post your favorite album covers I know there was a thread similar to this before but it's been awhile. And the search function is down again so I can't find that thread anyway. I think my very favorite has to be Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures'. Anything that Peter Saville touched was magical. Such an eye for detail and design. This image just hits me the right way. It's a graph of the death of a star (going supernova) and it suits the music perfectly in a visual and metaphorical sense.

May not be an outstanding cover, but it represented the plight of a female in Cher's position.

I wish the image were bigger. This also represents Prince, to a great extent.

How about Animals from Pink Floyd?
The whole plan of the flying pig that was ruined during the planning of the photo shoot. Although Floyd decided to use a cut n paste technique of their flying pig,i feel that its one of the best especially since it is flying above Battersea Power Station...an industrial area...a sorta background for this politically-fuelled album... And Abbey Road too... Ya heard of the silly rumour that Paul was dead and that the album cover had The Beatles walkin in a certain order: John was the priest,Ringo the undertaker,Paul the dead man(i heard according to the italian mafia, walkin barefoot was a sign of death)and George was the passer-by. Also, the licence plate of the car that read IF26...if Paul was alive,he'd be 26...cool huh? I don't think amazon lets you link to their images, unless you are an authorized seller.

George was supposed to be a grave digger and the car registration plate reads LMW 281F (28, not 26, and there is no letter I)
Also, the licence plate of the car that read IF26...if Paul was alive,he'd be 26...cool huh? Many more pathetic clues on the Paul Is Dead website at: http://www.geocities.com/...4/pid.html ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
