Rap/Rock...

i'm tired of people thinking of bullshit like limp bizkit and bloodhound gang, whenever rap/rock is mentioned... the problem with bands like limp bizkit is that the bands can't rock and the rapper can't rap... so, the whole thing is doomed from the start...

i'm talking about that good (mostly old-school) shit, where the rappers can rap like a mutha and the bands that they collaborate with/sample from can rock the fuck out...

and it makes sense for the two to work together, as both rap and rock were born out of rebellion...

so, this is the thread for everyone to talk about your favorite rap/rock songs...

here's a list of mine, to get things started:

"king of rock" by run dmc
"world destruction" by afrika bambaataa & johnny rotten
"baby, you're a rich man" by the fat boys
"wild thing" and "funky cold medina" by tone loc
"midnight" and "the girl tried to kill me" by ice-t
"bring the noise" by public enemy and anthrax
"fuck dying" by ice cube and korn
"come with me" by puff daddy & jimmy page (you can all go to hell, cause i love this song)
"victory (nine inch nails remix)" by puffy, biggie, & busta
"this means war" by busta & ozzy
"he got game" by public enemy & stephen stills

and of course, "walk this way" by run dmc and aerosmith...

show some love everybody...

TRON

Anything by the Beastie Boys, Living Colour, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More, Tricky and Beck is alright in my book.

Loved the Cypress Hill rap/rock album "Skull & Bones". Some great crunching numbers on here.

Best Rap/Rock crossover - has to be "Walk This Way" - pioneering in its time and still sounds great today!
Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell.
