Recomend me some J Dilla

I keep on hearing about how talented this guy but I'm not familar wtih any of his music. Recommend productions of his for other artists and give me a run down on his solo career... please smile

i think he worked with erykah badu. there's even a tribute to him on
her last album "new amerykah"

i looked him up on youtube a while ago and they had a clip where a
lot of his beats were put together and it sounded wicked.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Man! Can't Beat J Dilla... there was actually a Prince/Dilla Party in GA last year... check out the trailer on YouTube.

I am a part of the J Dilla Foundation which was started by his mother after his death, and there are some really cool things on the horizon so stayed tuned.

Dilla, to me, was the artistic benchmark for hip-hop. His instrumental album Donuts is a classic but my favorite work of his are the Q-Tip album's he produced (i.e. most of them) and the work he did on D'Angelo's Voodoo and Erykah's Mama's Gun.

A beautiful person and infinitely talented artist. Rest In Peace Brother!

Some of my favorite Dilla tracks are the ones he did on Common's Like Water For Chocolate. Definitely one of the best hip hop albums of all time!
