"Somebody to Love" and "These Are the Days of Our Lives" were recorded at the Mercury Tribute Concert. "Killer", "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone", and "Calling You" were all live performances recorded during his "Cover to Cover Tour" from 1991. Some releases had a sixth track called, "Dear Friends", which is a 1974 studio recording from Queen, written by Brian May. There's a video for "Someone To Love" from the concert, as well as a very cool "Name Brand" video for "Killer/Papa Was A Rolling Stone".

Although I have no issue with the performances themselves, I've always thought this EP was a bit of a strange mess in terms of it's content. The tribute concert stuff; fine. Random tracks from an unrelated GM concert; not so convinced. Finally the weakest track from 'Sheer Heart Attack'?? A bit too hodge podge for mine. ...at least it didn't have Elton John vomiting over 'The Show Must Go On'.

I have a live recording of Wham!'s final concert at Wembley Stadium. If George or Sony wanted, they could do some minor edits and enhance the EQ, they could release it as a live album. I don't think it's a soundboard recording either Everything She Wants (Edit the first 7 minutes) Club Tropicana Heartbeat Battlestations Bad Boys If You Were There The Edge Of Heaven (with Elton John) Candle In The Wind (with Elton John) Credit Card Baby Like A Baby Love Machine Where Did Your Hear Go? Why? Last Christmas Wham! Rap A Different Corner Freedom Careless Whisper Band Introductions Young Guns [Go For It] Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go I'm Your Man (with Simon Le Bon and Elton John) "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. These three, which seem to be cut from the same cloth in many ways, are probably my favourites. I love the fact that it's live soul music, with passion and spontaneity, and with great musicianship. There doesn't seem to be much of that around today, sadly, even amongst the best of the neo-soulers. On hearing Bring It On Home To Me, you'd have to agree with him! "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

I don't have many live albums
But my all time favorite remains: I know this album by heart. [Edited 1/6/10 9:30am] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

My preference is for albums that were shows recorded on one night only as opposed to live albums compiled from several nights.
Tori Amos - Legs and Boots: Chicago IL, 06.11.07 Bauhaus - Rest In Peace: The Final Concert (Hammersmith Palais, London, 5 July 1983) The Creatures - Tivoli Utrecht 06/03/90 Rick James - Street Songs (Live at Long Beach, California, July 30, 1981) Prince - Small Club 08.18.88 Rasputina - A Radical Recital (Pittsburgh, PA, Halloween, 2004) [Edited 1/6/10 14:19pm]
