I've never understood why people hate on this Kate Bush album. There's so many great songs. And So Is Love has one of her greatest vocal performances to date, Moments of Pleasure is up there with her greatest ever ballads, the title track is very infectious, Big Stripey Lie is wonderfully insane and I even love the Prince-collaboration Why Should I Love You (although I admit that one is a bit of a guilty pleasure). The only stinkers are the cringeful Eat The Music and the tacky, dated sounding Constellation Of The Heart. Why is this great album considered a dud by many fans?? [Edited 1/4/10 8:16am]

not by me...we had this discussion a few years back and at the time, those who chimed in said it was the die hard fans that wanted something a lil more unconventional from Bush. Space for sale...

Have you seen the video concept she did for the album? The acting is almost as bad as Graffiti Bridge.

Huh? I love this album! Moments of Pleasure is one of my favourites songs ever. Didn't know "Why should I love you" is a guilty pleasure That song was on heavy rotation in my house and I don't feel guilty about it!

Well, it's cheesey as fuck and features Lenny Henry on backing vocals, so I think that qualifies as a guilty pleasure.
But I still love it. | |
