Michelle Williams Breaks Free…

After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”

I really, really wish her the best. I am glad she is free, but I hope that Daddy Knowles doesn't get her blacklisted or some other crazy shit

Sumpthin's up. Personally, I find it a little disconcerting (and suspicious) that neither Kelly's nor Michelle's CD's fared well with the masses. And neither in light of poor sales, were re-released multiple times, a common practice with Music World Entertainment. In my perception, Matthew Knowles comes off as a very calculating businessman. Neither Rowland nor Williams could never compete with his daughter and it seems to me that he rather enjoys that. I always felt that Destiny's Child was about Beyonce more than it EVER WAS about the two "backup" singers. It'll be nice to see both of them truly (and hopefully) ascend from the depths which poor management has driven them down into (but I DO love Beyonce's music too!) It's just strikingly sad how the focus has and most likely will continue to be on Beyonce's career. Destiny's Child was truly a three-way talent which became sadly and progressively one-dimensional over the years. Solange's AWESOME "Hadley Street Dreams" CD didn't even qualify for a re-release now that I think of it. Whuzzup wit DATT, MATT?

Not to be mean, but where have you been? It's nothing new that Beyonce got the lion's share of attention re Destiny's Child and it is nothing new that Kelly and Michelle got shafted re their musical careers

She really should consider NOT doing r&b or Gospel. Her dance album wasnt too catchy. She should branch out and maybe do some plays and acting for a while.
