If MJ faked his death, then kudos to him. He had a hard knock life.

What the hell was that? What he says makes no sense to me, the way he said it was even weirder and his eyes... Can´t explain it, too, but I can´t stand looking into his eyes and I´ve never felt that way about anyone and I don´t think it´s just because he killed our Mike.

He's thanking his supporters and maintaining his innocence. I get why people don't like this guy and think he's scum and all. I just don't get what is apparently so deep and brooding though. My guess is he's probably not a monster, just a greedy, reckless guy who made a f*cking massive mistake he probably wishes he had never, ever done.

I'm thinking its from the 1982 Dick Zimmerman shoot but it looks like it could be from early 1983

People who know him personally, his patients... not people who just read about him on TMZ.com or whatever.

I'm not saying I support this guy, mind you. I'm just saying I'm taking this whole situation at face value.

Wait, people think Dave Dave is Michael Jackson? So he faked his own death, but instead of retreating to some secluded spot to live a life in peace, he'd rather dress up as a burn victim and make the rounds on Larry King? lol

What will they think of next?

Well, he dressed up as monsters, and a realistic fat white man in Ghosts. lol Since this is MJ we're talking about, lol, a disguise as a known burn-victim is not improbable, and actually a very clever idea, regardless of how hurtful it is. But....No matter how much I could believe this hoax theory, I just don't think Mike would plan to be deceptive like that. neutral

Please, he doesn't need to make a youtube video for friends of his or his patients (?!) The whole concept of a shady doctor filming a video thanking people and saying shit like "the truth will prevail" is just plain odd.

I don't think he ever disguised as Dave, but he was definitely deceptive like that, it's not necessarily a bad thing. It's what he had to do to feel "normal".

Right, the disguises were necessary for him sometimes while living, but I meant I don't think MJ could cruelly deceive his fans by faking his death. Unless his life was being threatened and he had to escape for his children, a fake memorial, fake death investigation, fake funeral, and fake interment in a mausoleum is just, I don't know, evil. neutral

The only amazing thing about this situation is, if he actually did plan all of this, and wanted the biggest, greatest, most shocking, extremely sorrowful, and most widespread death coverage/reception in history, well, he got it.

Often times after his passing I thought of the scene from Moonwalker where Katie is wishing on a star....I was hoping it would work for real...But I know it won't and like I said I cope by watching his videos and listen to his music I'm alright then.

See, doing something like that might be considered deceptive and that´s one of the main reasons that´s stopping me from getting into this hoax theory too much. I can´t believe not that he would do something like that to us (as much as he loved his fans, he might have loved his life more), but to his children. On the other hand, I cannot rule it out completely either because if you take aside that "deceptive" factor of it, it is his "style". I think he´s been through way too much in recent years and maybe he just really couldn´t take it anymore.
It´s really hard to tell and I couldn´t think about this hoax thing before because I needed to cope with his death, first. I needed to accept it because if I had thought about that hoax thing before dealing with the death, it wouldn´t allow me to accept it and it would just foolishly bring me some hope and not cope with the reality of his death.

Mj was larger than life, The status and popularity that Mj reached through his entire career is the reason why people still not believe that he is gone, I think time was the cure for me to accept the fact that he is gone, I was capable to accept that he is no longer with us, But i hate it when i hear new material disbelief , As much as i feel so happy to hear new material as much it makes me so sad, ,First time I listened to the snippets of "place with no name" and "another day" I felt so so sad,I don't know why.....

I do believe that MJ is gone, I don't think its a hoax, Mj wouldn't endanger his children's life.

Michael Jackson 3-D Mini-Movie To Debut At Grammys
January 20, 2010

Look for a special moment at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sun. Jan. 31, 8 – 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, featuring a never-before-seen 3-D mini-movie for Michael Jackson's Earth Song.

It was created by Jackson as the centerpiece of his This Is It tour, but was never seen. The song has a strong theme about the future of the planet, and Jackson saw it as a unique opportunity to deliver a message to millions of people who would have seen him on tour, organizers say.

Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood, and Usher will sing - along with the voice of Jackson - in a tribute to the star.

Grammys will stage 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson
NEW YORK – Last year, as the Grammys were approaching, the show's executive producer was in frequent talks with Michael Jackson to appear on the telecast to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Thriller."

Ken Ehrlich, the Grammy telecast's co-executive producer, had presented several ideas for performers, including Justin Timberlake and Usher, all of which excited Jackson. But in the end, he declined the show's invitation.

"He just wasn't ready for it," Ehrlich said.

This year, Jackson will be a focal point of the show, with an unprecedented posthumous tribute. The Grammys will broadcast a 3-D clip the singer made for his hit "Earth Song," a video that was to be integral to his comeback concerts in London in July 2009 — shows that never happened because of his June 25 death in Los Angeles.

Usher, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson will perform alongside the clip, which Ehrlich says will be the first time an awards show will feature 3-D.

"Whenever we would do a show with (Jackson), the first thing he would say to me was, `How can we do something that we (have) never done before?' And now we're doing something that hasn't been done before," said Ehrlich, who worked with Jackson for almost 30 years, in an interview Tuesday.

Ehrlich produced the televised memorial to Jackson last year. He was with the singer the night before he died — and that's when he first saw the 3-D clip of "Earth Song," a call to action about the destruction of nature and animals by man.

"There are these incredible images of the beauties of nature, and then they are seen through the eyes of a little girl, and that girl falls asleep and when she wakes up, she is witness to the destruction of nature," said Ehrlich. "It's all about questioning what our values are."

While a part of the clip was shown in the recent movie documentary "This Is It," Ehrlich says the Grammys will show the full piece in 3-D. When he saw it with Jackson that night, Ehrlich said the singer was moved to tears.

"It was pretty emotional for him," Ehrlich said. "Afterward he said to me that that song and that piece and that portion of the concert was as important to him than anything else in the show."

Ehrlich decided to use the five-minute 3-D clip at the Grammys to produce a show-stopper worthy of Jackson, who provided the awards show with some of its most memorable moments, including his then-historic eight Grammy wins in 1984.

"The promise is this is going to be pretty spectacular," he said.

Viewers can get free 3-D "Grammy" glasses from Target stores nationwide from Jan. 24 through Jan. 31, when the 52nd annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS (8 p.m. EST). Ehrlich says TV viewers can see the clip without the glasses, but won't see the 3-D effect.

Jackson will be honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy during the show.

"This is the one award from us that Michael never received," said Recording Academy President and CEO Neil Portnow.

Portnow said he expected Jackson's family to be in the audience but their attendance hasn't been confirmed.

Details of Grammys' 3D Tribute to Michael Jackson

This year's Grammy Awards will reflect the loss of a key component in the music industry…the King of Pop. Producer Ken Ehrlich told ET's Kevin Frazier all about the Michael Jackson tribute that show organizers have up their sleeves.

Inspiration for the tribute blossomed from a meeting between Ken and Michael just one day prior to the pop star's untimely death. During their encounter, Ken was treated to sneak peek at the 3D spectacle Michael had planned for "Earth Song" during his highly-anticipated tour. The singer told Ken that "was the most important…piece in the whole show because of the message of 'Earth Song'; the message about the environment and the message about preserving the environment."

Ken said, "When we knew that everybody was kind of looking to see what the Grammy's were going to do about Michael Jackson…it really came down to what I felt and what we all felt Michael would have wanted. Michael would have wanted us to do 'Earth Song' and that's what we're doing in the show."

During another meeting between the two parties before last year's Grammys, Michael even hinted that he wasn't prepared to perform in the 2009 show, but might be interested in taking the stage the 2010 show. Ken said, "This year we're doing the Grammys, but we're doing them about Michael, not with Michael."

In planning this tribute, Ken has consciously kept Michael's wishes in mind. He explained, "The people that we picked to perform this 3D version of 'Earth Song' are the people that I really feel Michael would have wanted to be there--Celine Dion, who was always one of Michael's favorites. Carrie Underwood, who we talked about the night that I met with him. Usher, who we know he loved. Smokey [Robinson], his [mentor]. And Jennifer Hudson, who performed at the memorial service that we did, but was also someone that Michael really admired a lot."

Though Ken wants to keep many of the other performances under wraps, Kevin was able to pry some details out of him. "We've kind of become known for these great duets and combinations that we do and we're not going to disappoint this year," teased Ken. "I can tell you that within the last hour, a Taylor Swift combination came together that's really kind of unique and pretty interesting. I think you'll see Lady Gaga performing with someone. Maxwell, there's a pretty great performance that includes an homage to Teddy Pendergrass that will feature another artist that's pretty special."

Target will be distributing 15 million 3D glasses for free, beginning Sunday, January 24. The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards air January 31 on CBS.

What would b cool is if they got some real r&b singers to do the Teddy P tribute. Especially those who emulate his style.

Jaheim immediately comes to mind.

I loved (some) of Michaels albums 1979 to 1995:

But I just wanna say something to you MJ fans here on the Org:

Prince was the first major black artist on MTV - not Michael Jackson:

the "1999" music video had premiere on MTV in Dec 1982, later "Little Red Corvette" had premiere in march 1983.

"Billie Jean", the first music video from "Triller" had premiere on MTV - also - in March 1983:

Still Michael Jackson always gets that credit as being the first black artist, leading the way for Prince on MTV (with "Thriller"),

not fair - and not true, because "1999" was there on MTV already. wink

Now rest in peace Michael Jackson. sad

What they mean is Michael Jackson was the FIRST BLACK artist to get played REGULARLY on MTV, as opposed to black artists getting played every now and then. Michael was on MTV EVERYDAY.
