How do you know this isn't a song from the 00s?

1. Its a bm/bf co-lead duet that's not a remake
2. There are black people playing instruments in the video
3. The lyrics are about love and communication instead of lust and temptation
4. Nobody's threatening, apologizing or giving an ultimatum in the song
5. Shoulder pads. Everybody's wearing them. Even the men.

It's OK. I used to love it but it's been worn out over the years. One of the stations in my area acts like it's the only damn SOS Band song that ever existed.

Let's not forget that Janet used the melody of the chorus for her song "Call On Me" from 20 Y.O..

Well that's just like r&b stations playing "Wanna Be Your Lover" "Do Me Baby" and "Kiss" were the only three songs Prince made in his whole career.

Maxwell used a looped sample of that song for a remix of "Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder)", called "Ascension No One's Gonna Love You, So Don't Ever Wonder (The Tribute Cut)". I actually took that mix, and combined it with SOS Band's song, and made it into a 10 minute mash up. Not too hard, because Maxwell kept the tempo and key the same (no pitch shifting).

Flyte Tyme is R&B Majesty. Mary Davis gave Flyte Tyme vocals a whole new (and gorgeous) trip. Love this joint!
