Vanilla Fudge: You Keep Me Hangin' On

I've really been diggin' this lately and thought I'd share it with you all. It is easily my favorite rendition of this song. I love the energy and showmanship these guys had!! Wish I could have been there to experience it in person!! Hope you can dig it like I do! wink

Now you're talkin'. That's from an Ed Sullivan appearance.

It's not my favorite rendition, but i've always appreciated their take on the tune.
I got to see them perform at The Fillmore East back in the day.

It's odd but most of their vintage performance clips have been removed from YouTube.

That's why, if you didn't have the album, you had to listen to the full cut on Murray the K or Rosko's FM show. cool

Rod Stewart did a similar version a few years later. I think it was the same drummer (Carmine Appice), not quite as 'heavy', a shame cause Rod did his a pretty good with the vocals.
