AMAs

What did y'all think about the AMAs last night? I was out for most of the evening but came home just in time to see Bobby Brown and Ja Rule... lucky me. The whole thing sounded god awful but I was even more shocked at how bad Bobby looked. You would think with all the bad press, he would have got himself together for a national tv awards show. he looked like the aging brother that's always on the corner beggin for a dollar so he can get a 40. But then again, without Whitney's cash that is exactly what he would be.

The best part of the show were the highlights from past shows.

Agreed! As usual the AMA's were god awful, from the nominees to the winners to the speeches to the performances. Usually I tape them and then FF through them and catch one or 2 artists that I can respect. It was funny to see Hall and Oates to present but first introduce themselves, because no one had a clue who they were. Elton john performed early so he could split superquick. Basically that was about it that was redeemable, oh the Christina aguilera performance was cool, she can sing her ass off. The Mariah carey was overblown but it was nice to see her dedicate it to her dad at the end. Also it was cool to see Common and MYA their commercial was cool and was so true about the industry, too bad it was during a show that does nothing but expoit Un-real music. And last but not least it was nice to see Britney and her amazing body (sorry its true) drop by. But thats about all that i would save from that night. One last note about the AMA's, why such a lame ass notice about the passing of Maurice Gibb, to tack it on the screen after the credits was really another slap in the face to the brothers. I cant believe this wasnt in the first 5 minutes of the show and someone didnt come out and at least offer a moment of silence for the family. A truly sad show, I cant believe dick clark still has anything to do with this stuff.

Add me in to that toast. Watching the AMA's last night made me long for the 80's and early 90's again. It used to be fun to watch the stars on the show each year. Now it's become a freak show and it was truly frightening to watch it come to town. But I will say this; the Osbournes made me laugh and were the only reason why I kept on watching.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
