Freek was GM doing NIN imo but it was cool..he better hurry up and release something--his career is damn near shot. I love me some GM music.

I hope He Showcases His Vocals&songwriting more than anything else.His Dance Music would really be tight if it's along the lines of "FastLove" IMHO.no Gimmicks just let His Work do the talking the Guy is very Talented.

George is the MAN! He's also a very smart and articulate person..witty and nice. Met him and he's simply da' bomb!

Freek was a kick-butt song but he blew it with that video...It was just to over the top...Same with the single Outside-the video alienated many of his fans...I thought they were cool but he needs to come back with an MTV friendly video if he wants to top the charts in America. It just seems like the powers that be are holding him down...The man is a great singer and a great writer...Besides since we're both Greek U know he's bad! Peace and Aloha~ wishuhvn

another GM lover here.. I can't wait for his new album to be released.. I dont expect anything! I really liked "Shoot the dog", "Freeek" was great as well, but he could have done better!! everyone knows that!.. But I'm looking forward to his new album, and wouldn't mind if the whole album was with the same music style as freeek and shoot the dog! But I'm hoping for him self that this album will be great, coz his carrie is really starting to fade away-which is really a shame..

I like both of his new videos!! dont mind the freeek video, a newer side shown of Gm.. shoot the dog, very funny and nice! I like the song!! Anyways

According to the website his new cd is pencilled for release in late Feb./early March with a single to follow. It is all recorded & ready - just finishing the contracts & everything will be go. That info was dated November 12th with no further word since then.

That's good news. Only a seven year wait, then. Fuck me, has he been hanging around with Kate Bush. These superstars are getting lazier by the year. Prince left WB 'cos he wanted to release more albums than they would allow and since leaving them he's released less!!!

"Older" is a masterpiece. I'll definitely give his new one a try.

for a guy that didn't put out any albums for all those years he was fighting with Sony, you'd think he'd have some material built up ready to unleash on the world when he was finally "free" ()

Eye think Freeek was decent, but the "Shoot the Dog" was terrible, and he was supposed to release something in 2002.. now we know thats a fluke, lets all hope when he does release something, its not dance music..

I only have 1 George Michael CD...his greatest hits...and I love every song.

I just read that a judge gave the OK for the cop that busted him (in that infamous bathroom episode a few years back) to sue him for slander(?).

Apparently the cop says that he was mocked in the video for "Outside" and will of course sue for damages.

PS I think Closer is one of the best songs of the 90s.

GM is truly a talented singer and songwriter his older album was excellent and alot of his Wham stuff was good too..they did great stuff like different corner and freedom not all was campy like wake me up

I really do like GM he is an enormously talented song writer...wasn't to keen on "Shoot The Dog" with it's Human League sample, but will porobably still by an album if it comes!

I heard through the grapevine that George's new album will be released around March of this year (?) - don't hold me 2 that...

Listened 2 almost every one of his albums last night - and I fell asleep 2 one of the loveliest songs, "Jesus 2 a Child".

I didn't LOVE "Freeek" like I loved his other dance-oriented tracks, but I think it's nice he's trying different things - why not? At least George writes his own songs; it seems there are more hugely successful artists nowadays who only sing on their albums!

George, Prince, Lenny Kravitz...it feels like these artists are all that's left of that era when singers & per4mers' art was all about THEM. The songs we heard were all that more special 'cos it was 100% THEIRS.

I miss those times.

Another reason I like George so much is because he is also a very genuine and intelligent person! In addition he's awfully down-to-earth.
I fear we will never again see these kinds of artists like Prince & George, Sade, etc. Are they all dying out? This world 2 be filled with the likes of Britney Spears and so on??? I pray not...

George wanted 2 release an album last year, but only if the record company he was with at that time (can't remember, universal?) would do a good promotion of his singles (ie, make them huge hits). Now we all know the 2 songs released last year Freakkk and Shoot the dog weren't the hits they were supposed 2 be...
George pulled back the album fearing a flop and is currently biding his time and hoping he'll come up with a good single 2 promote the album when it's finally released!

I was listening to the 12" version of Peter Brown's classic "Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me" and it hit me: George Michael could do a great cover of this song! Man, I could see the video in my head and everything...
