Harlepolis

From my FAVE CTI album, period music

Love title track, if Gill Scott-Heron didn't do nothing else in his career, he should be content with her reading of his song music

My dad turned me on to this woman and I absolutely LOVE her voice. Her and Dinah Washington. Amazing voices.

I'm confused.

Wasn't Kudu later named as CTI, or vice versa? confuse

No CTI was ran by Creed Taylor and had no affiliation with Motown. Kudu was Motown's Jazz label to be in competition with CTI

Just wanted to add this is a cover of Gil Scott Heron's Home is Where the Hatred Is from Pieces of a Man album.

I like Gil's version better. Gil also has his musical partner Brian Jackson on his track).
