I had never heard any of Eartha's songs until I started going to the gay clubs in the 1990s. The people that had already been going out were already familiar with her. I think Eartha was considered Hi NRG which was a genre that was underground in a lot of gay clubs after disco's death in the early 1980s. Apparently Eartha had a gay following as you can tell by the video. I think Shannon brought Hi NRG above ground with "Let The Music Play". I'm not sure though, I'm just going by observation.

I think I remember this song. Heard it on YouTube. Sounds good.
