They are on the same artistic level, my point. Prince isn't God. There are artists who can write just as well, every now and again. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Yep, Prince is good, but people have to open the shades, crank the windows open and broaden their horizons. When someone mentions TRC or Musicology as the best of a whole decade you can see they are walking only down the dark narrow hallways of their basement. [Edited 12/19/09 11:33am]

[Edited 12/19/09 10:58am] I'm walking down the hallways of pure musicianship... & i dont concider musicology as one of the best of the decade... but TRC is probably the most artistic to me. The lyrical content is what realy has me going. I like to hear artist who actualy stand for something, instead of falling for anything

No not at all, for the mainstream it may have been the band-aid to put over the shit it produces, but i usually look at Rolling Stones lists with about as much value as if a 5 year old told what his favorite song or album was. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Crazy is the Purple Rain or Pop Life of the 2000s. Hey Ya is the When Doves Cry. Rehab is Little Red Corvette. Matters what songs of P's you think are stronger..lol Roses may be better than Hey Ya. Their Erotic City. Then there's prototype, man. The Condition of the Heart of the 2000s. lol
