This is messed up but, Claudine soundtrack (Gladys Knight) or Sparkle soundtrack (Aretha Franklin)? I know thats a rough one. I really cant decide. The ladies were both at the top of their form and Curtis Mayfield wrote and produced the hell out of both.

SPARKLE , no doubt
althought I liked the CLAUDINE ST as well, Aretha peed on that Curtis music, so as usual Gladys has to take second place... Miss Knight would have fared better in her career stature perhaps if she had been a solo act from the giddyup, ditto for Patti Labelle...both were members of groups for a long time before going solo...Aretha has always been just Aretha.
