Q for Terrence Trent D'Arby Followers What other songs has Trent D'Arby made that have vocals sounding similar to those used on "Holding on to You?"
I've recently become addicted to that voice (that raspy, souful preaching)...and I wanna hear more.

He uses his range on quite a few songs. Some of my favorites include:
Surrender Vibrator Resurrection Dance Little Sister Do you Love Me Like You Say Goodbye Diane Who's Lovin' You Not all of those are similar in style or tempo but they all display his voice like Holding on to You. [Edited 12/16/09 20:47pm]

The song that sounds the most similar to "Holding On To You" is a song of his called "Perfumed Pavillion." It's not an album track... If I'm not mistaken it was a b-side... You can find it on this cd:
http://www.amazon.com/Ter...l_1#disc_1 Of course he has many great ballads but that's the one that sounds the most like "Holding On To You." Off the top of my head I would also suggest "What Shall I Do" from the Wildcard (Joker's Edition) album and "Share Your Pain" from Angels & Vampires Vol.1. EDIT: And another song that I just thought of that really displays his brilliant voice is "Sweetness" from the Wildcard album. [Edited 12/17/09 6:33am]

By the way, you can purchase & download most of these tracks from his website. He has many great tracks available for free to download. Unfortunately "Perfumed Pavillion" is not available on his site but most everything else is.

Good one! It's pretty much the definitive example of the soulful, raspy sound torahwarrior is speaking of. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Loving you is another word for lonely B-side to If you let me stay. This should have been a single on it's own
