I tried to make a chronological set that included some familiar tracks with deeper ones that never get discussed here. It was also meant to show her progression as an artist and how versatile she was over that time period. Gotta love the know-it-alls though This song.... Resonate with me so much! Time has placed us here Afraid of fear We've seen through tears That never should have flown And still in love, we grow. I've LIVED those lyrics! And the way she wails after the bridge shots through my heart like a bullet. Everytime this song ends, I feel a strange mixture of sadness and relief at the same time. Fact is, she's the ONLY artist ever, that has aroused conflicting feelings in me whenever she wails [Edited 12/8/09 13:10pm] | |

Mine was triggered after watching her Soul Train Award tribute and noticing that among the current crop of female vocalists, there still Ain't Nobody in her league.
