MJ's Military Style? I have always thought of Jermaine Jackson being the one who started rocking the military look first. For some reason as a kid I think I saw him wearing it first therefore I associate that style more with him but most people associate MJ with that style. Who wore it first? Also I love the military look and so many stores are carrying those jackets now as a way of paying homage to MJ. I own about 4 different cool jackets. Anyone else dig that style? Anyone rocking high waters yet?

Really? Hmm, you could be right lol In one of his interviews, he said that the chereography in Captain EO that marked the start of military style was a nod to the videos from Control

Speaking of Captain EO. Im glad that Disney has decided to bring the film back to it's American parks and I'll finally get to see it as it was intended.

And how was it intended to be seen compared to how it was showed back then?

when did jermaine start rocking it then? 1984 was his self-titled album. MJ was wearing military garb during Thriller which was 1982/1983, and continued throughout his life.

And how was it intended to be seen compared to how it was showed back then? I think dreamfactory means seeing it in 3d on the big screen as opposed to seeing it over the net/bootleg. Unfortunately 3d has moved on, the effects on EO are woefully dated and the whole thing is pure 80's . It needs a major overhaul, i'm not sure if that's possible and i'm sure Disney have denied rumours of it's return anyway. I have a perfect non 3d DVD of EO that almost never gets watched, i do like MJ's look in EO though, lots of moves that would show up in the BAD vid too.

I saw it back in 1988 or 1989 while still in the Navy. I went to LA for a weekend to see my aunt and uncle. The Greater Los Angeles Sunday School (GLASS) association had the park to themselves for the night. NO LINES! Plenty of folks, but getting on rides was quicker than normal. I RAN to see Captain EO. Loved it. I wish they'd put that on BluRay or something w/ some 3D glasses. They'd make a mint on it. There is some documentary footage from it all too.

As much as I love MJ,,,I'm in no rush to see this film when it get released.
Maybe for the sake of the songs,,,but I don't think the rest is intersting.

Really? Hmm, you could be right lol On Michael's "Private Home Movies", Michael stated that he was being really influenced by military dance and dress. Janet apparently begged MJ to let her use some of that style/dance.

You gotta be a fan, watching it with a non-fan is surreal. Whereas Graffiti Bridge will get you stabbed by your best friend.
