In the past I have posted negative thoughts and feelings about Christina, but after seeing her perform on the AMA's last night, I have changed my mind. The girl can actually sing!! After watching her performance I have gained respect for her. My husband pointed out that even though she is a bit skanky these days, she can really sing and there are not many females out there these days that could get up on stage and sing as strong and clearly as she did. We know that Britney can't do it and there are many more that couldn't. Shania Twain sang shortly after her and she didn't even compare to how well Christina sounded. I now admit that she has talent and she can sing. Don't know if I will be running out to buy her music, but I can honestly say she is not bad at all. Mariah on the other hand was absolutely terrible last night. How many times is she going to sing those sappy anthem songs? She was awful.

I thought Mariah was alright actually, but Christina definitely is a much better singer than anyone else that performed last night.

I only caught glimpses of the show though, because it truly sucked. Any show that gives Eminem and Ashanti the most awards should be banned.

Marks out of ten??...I'd give her one!

I also agree with your statement about Mariah. I thought it was pathetic how she showed that self important video of herself while she sang, "I can do it" or whatever the fuck she was singing.

that first song that x-tina sang. you know the one the alicia keys wrote. sounds a hell of a lot like "ain't no way" by aretha franklin. I was thinking that the whole time she was singing. Kind like what alicia did with james brown and fallin.

And to top it off the name of the song is impossible.

I've always liked her stuff and have always thought she was better than Britney, Mandy, ect.
Now all she needs to do is get rid of that damn image! Forgive me for saying this, but I thought Jessica Simpson was pretty good too

What really surprised me is that many 'singers' change their notes, and she sang EXACTLY the way she sounds on the radio...that amazed me, but I don't know if she really grabbed me as a charismatic performer, like you know, Prince...that's why he's the best, he's got it all!!!
