Chaka Khan Classic Of The Day I never get tired of this song. Someone said she had a weave. However, a person, who allegedly worked on the photo shoot for one of her albums, said this: "I assisted on a photo shoot back in the early eighties on her album cover, and I remember the hair stylist working on her hair and that is mostly if not all hers. She has incredible hair a few pieces were added for volume but that length is hers".

Chaka made me want to go back and check Greg Diamond's Bionic Boogie world
Prefer her version though.

I never get tired of this song too! Wasn't it a b-side? Maybe "I'm Every Woman"? If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

This from Wikipedia: "Three singles were released from Naughty: the club hit "Clouds" (penned by Ashford & Simpson who also wrote Chaka's "I'm Every Woman") (US R&B #10), "Get Ready, Get Set" (#48) and the big hit "Papillon (a.k.a. Hot Butterfly)" (#22). "Papillon" featured prominent background vocals from Luther Vandross, Cissy Houston, and her daughter Whitney. On Billboard's charts, the album reached #6 on Black Albums, #43 on Pop Albums."

You are always attempting to police shit 'round these parts. But when you get called out on your B.S. then I'm "douchey" Look in the Prince Music and More forum and look at how many ideas you shit on (on a regular basis)... I think Supa's thread shoulda been deleted as well. But in light of those two threads, yours is unnecessary... If I'm "douchey" well I hope then I have a pleasant lavender scent afterwards.

Mods say different. Now back on track.... ..... In some respects, I got lost a bit of Chaka Khan growing up. I remember some of the Rufus stuff, but when she went solo, I guess I just missed things along the way. Over the past 10 years or so, it's been great to get reacquainted with her music. Same goes for Graham Central Station. Remove the JW aspect, and we realize that GCS was a great band, and had great songs. I had Chaka Khan on shuffle the other day in iTunes. I just never got tired of anything that came on. I ended up listening to all of Come 2 My House, which I think is a good album from her. Funny coincidence that Chaka and Latifah (who appeared on Chaka's album) both had songs similar in name, Latifah's being "Come Into My House".

Come 2 My House was my 1st introduction to BOTH of Chaka and Prince's world.
It made me go back and cop Chaka's Epiphany and Prince's Hits/B-Side and later venture into their discographies This is the highlight tune of the album... Who were you with last night? Busy, busy, you must be busier Than a one-legged man in a kick fight Got to be the drama of all time Damn, that quite sums it up for me and NO mods, this is not a Prince written tune so spare this dame the grief Loving the org's recent Chaka flooding

Definitely go back and listen to her catalog. Find her discography on Wikipedia or something, and systematically find each album and listen. Her time with Rufus is just as good.

I already have it Minus the b-sides/outtakes(which I know afew chakaholic got a hold to) it took me 10 years to be a serious chakaholic, and I ONLY stumbled on her shelved album Dare U To Love Me recently, you'd think whatshisface was hard to track down [Edited 12/13/09 22:45pm]

I think I have most of that shelved album. What a gem, just collecting dust.
