I knew who Phyllis was, but never knew anything of her story. I remember her from the soundtrack, and being in the movie of, School Daze. Then I remember her death.
I watched Unsung on TV|ONE about her last night. REALLY impressive. Nice to get the whole story. | |

Phyllis has one of the sexiest voices I've ever heard (and those lips!) but she also has one of the saddest voices. I listen to her all the time though because she makes me feel better. There's something comforting about her tone.

People crack on "one hit wonders" but Bobby Caldwell has never had to worry about having to work another day in his life if he chose to because of that song.
