Is it just me or was radio reluctant to pick up a load of new singles this quarter? I was hearing the same old shit from summer time.

Mainstream pop, r&b, and hip-hop in general - the talent pool is shrunk, too much similarity in acts and not enough diversity in styles and production

it's a shame Mika's album didn't do well. It's one of my favorites of the year.

Whitney Houston, Shakira, and Rihanna's albums were hardly flops. especially Whitney's.

I agree that Whitney was not a flop, she has already outsold Just Whitney and in the UK that missed the top 75 while this one went to top 10 or around that.

Shakira is not a new artist, she did have some big hits and properly selling albums so this is a disappointment. And it's not just about the US, the title track was a hit in Europe yet the album is doing disastrously, total worldwide sales are below 500.000!

Janet's actually selling better than she did with her last two albums. I'm happy for her. and like I said the record label didn't ship many copies so it's not like they had high expectations. She still gots her talent and beauty unlike others

Who's talking about certifications??? It's about actual sales, not Gold or Platinum stuff.

20 YO sold more than a million and Discipline is around 700k, no way Number Ones is doing any better.
