The album came out in '84 so Jackie was 32, Tito was 31, Jermaine was 30 or 29, Marlon was 26, Michael was 25, and Randy was 23. There was stuff that didn't make it on the album Doing Dirty (written by Michael and Marlon) Buffalo Bill (written by Michael) What's Your Life (written by Michael and Jermaine) Victory (The Jacksons and Queen) Still In Love With You (Randy on lead) There's More To Life Than This Power (written by Jackie) Nona (written by Jackie) I'm In Love With You (written by Marlon and John Barnes) Where Do I Stand (written by Marlon) Bad Company (written by Tito, Michael McKinney & Wayne Arnold) When the Victory lp was released their ages were 33, 31, 29, 27, 25, and 22. Are any of the tracks you listed on the ‘net? Nah, they're not, except for There Must Be More To Life Than This Victory is out there, but certain fans have it "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. I watched the show and I was suprised on how sensitive Jermaine was through the whole episode. It seems Michael's death has brought them closer together. They were old as hell when Rick James got them back together to do "Standing On The Top" and not only was it an ass shaker but the song kicked ass. But then again, the mainstream had taste back then. I don't think The Jacksons' new album will be a complete flop because of all the media attention that is on them after Michael's death. A lot of the youngsters as well as the old fans will buy it because of all the hype that's going on after Michael's death. But in the long run, when Michael's death wears off, the youngsters will get bored with them and move on. If they were smart, they would focus on the older crowd which has no jams coming which they long for. I'm not saying they will stick with them because a lot of older people have become dull ass "family" types these days but their kids will be graduating soon and moving out and our divorce years will start occurring then....maybe that's when things will liven up....when these dull asses get divorces like the even older blues generation and starts going to the hole in the walls. But with all the focus on The Jacksons right now, instead of them selling out, they really should try to do something to try to change things instead of being dull idiots and going along with the program. What they need to do is throwdown and throwdown hard! Take the shit hop drum machines out of the studio, load them at the truck, and drop them off at Toys R Us. It's the Christmas season and some four year old would love to have those fisher price toys they are recording with. Get a drummer and a bassist in there, speed things up, and tear the roof of the motherfucker. Tell the dead asses if they can't throwdown, sit down. Hell, they could even throw a chant on the record...."Either throw your ass down or SIT your ass down!". I agree with you on some of what you saying ..but most are already moving on from the hype of his death they still on Michael but not enough to be wearing I love Jermaine and Tito shirts though It's just not the same [Edited 12/15/09 15:09pm] Oh you would be surprised. Just last week, I had to go sign up for my cafeteria plan (We sign up for a yearly amount of money that they take out of our check throughout the year, which is not taxed, that we get reimbursed when we send in our receipts for our medicine that we bought). Every December as I walk across the room to the people with the paperwork for me to fill out, the room is filled with different vendors which I'm assuming are insurance companies or something (I never stop to chat with them). Anyway, last week as I was walking across the room through the sea of vendors, it looked like a flea market. There were framed pictures (in those cheap frames that tear up after a few months) of Michael Jackson from the "Thriller" era, The Jackson Five, and The Obama Family on the White House lawn. These pictures were everywhere. I stopped and asked one of them...."What are these? Are y'all having door prizes or something this year? Are they for sale?" He told me that you get one free if you sign up with their plan. What kind of dumbass is going to sign up for some plan just to get a damn Michael Jackson picture that they could get at the flea market for about $30? But you should have seen the people hanging around looking at the pictures...and at the cafeteria plan fair of all places. Andy is a four letter word.

I've no doubt he/they loved their brother and i love their music, but i'm cynical about this whole exercise. The show started with the flashing lights of the emergency services and went from there. Seems like it was staged. Has anything been showed prior to MJ's passing? don't think so. TV exec approaches the Jacksons, Money in hand, and off they go. There's a whole "what the fuck are we gonna do now?, how can we capitalize?" whiff about this. I'm sorry to say that.

Anyone one remember the scene from the show where Marlon and Jackie went to the record store to get some ideas of what producers they should use for their new project and they came across albums from MJ and the Jacksons? I almost cried... Check me out and add me on:

I went to Walmart yesterday and stopped by the cd section where they have a huge MJ/Jackson 5 area all set up as it has been since early this summer and it looked like it had been ransacked. There was hardly anything left! Before the weekend, I was there and it was newly and fully stocked full of everything MJ/Jackson5/The Jacksons and a weekend later there was maybe a dozen cds left. Even the THIS IS IT section looked sparse. MJ continues to shock me with his ability to move units.... even in death.

I almost cried... I saw them in the record store looking for ideas for producers and thought it was rediculous. CDs in the record store is the last place they need to be looking for producers. I pulled my "Destiny" and "Triumph" albums and on the back, it said they produced themselves. If they want that Jacksons "magic" as they call it, then that's what they need to do again. No outsider can recreate your own sound. I think they were just in the store just to have something to film. Filming people's everyday lives is pretty boring so they have to resort to things they normally don't do in an attempt to make things interesting. I think they already knew they were going to go with Jimmy and Terry to begin with. They are the ones that produced their sister for years and even Michael later on. Andy is a four letter word.

Marlon should've had a career as a comedian after the Jacksons. I could see him as being one of the most entertaining comedians in the world because he is so funny throughout the show and he seems to be the most outgoing and outspoken out of all of the brothers. Check me out and add me on:
