Its because of hype, critical acclaim, and strong recurrent airplay. Rock With You alone got more recurrent airplay than all the songs from Bad, Dangerous, and HIStory combined . Shake Ya Boy and Can U feel It also got much more airplay than anything from Bad and Dangerous.

So The Jacksons are underrated in what way? By sales? Britney Spears sells more than Bob Dylan- do people think she's a better artist than he is? MJ's stint with his brothers is insignificant sales and money wise. That was my point. But what you're saying about being underrated or ignored is 100% false. If anything, its the other way around. Dangerous and HIStory can be considered underrated because of the mixed reviews and general dismissal by the general public as "when he lost it." The Jacksons can't be considered underrated because practcally every album review I read for Destiny and Triumph are absolutely glowing. Most people consider MJ at his vocal and creative peak at this point in time. Those albums have made a lot of critics lists. Have you seen Dangerous or HIStory on any all-time lists? Nope!

So the critics and the media say- buy J5, Jacksons, OTW & Thriller. And I study charts- you'll see that in the first couple of weeks after he died, OTW and Jacksons compilations were far outselling Bad and Dangerous. But then weeks after both Bad and Dangerous shot up and have been outelling OTW and Ultimate Jacksons ever since. The people made their choice. Nothing is underrated here.

So come and post your favorite Jackson, no bashing or negative comments either!

The Bad album had 5 #1s (!), yet you chose to ignore that fact! According to RIAA and IFPN (and common sense and knowledge), Michael sold WAY more than Janet will ever sell. According to RIAA and IFPN, the J5/Jacksons sold WAY more than Janet ever will. But there's something that isn't even debatable: Michael's popularity. MJ was always more famous and popular than Janet (and any other artist in the world) and you KNOW THAT FULL WELL.
