Nobody wants to see the Jacksons, that's why they wanted to tag along with MJ for his London stint. Beause they know where the money is made! Only people like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin could live off of royalties! And they sell over a million a year in the US- every year! On average, The Jacksons sold about 50k a year if they were lucky. Now split that 5 ways. How much do you think it amounts to? However, i must say- I support the show 100%. They've finally gone out on their own to try to make some bread! Maybe Jermaine can finally afford to visit a professional hair salon. One thing people have to remember: The 1976-81 period is pretty much ignored. Aside from Jackson fans and avid music collectors, people don't know about The Jacksons, Goin' Places, Destiny, Triumph, and Live They haven't gotten the repackaged/remastered treatment (aside from Destiny and Triumph), the albums are rarely talked about. Anyway... my point is that many of you are letting your preference cloud your semblance of reality. The sooner you realize this, the better. 1. Michael's success as a solo artist had nothing to do with his previous success with his brothers. 2. The Jacksons having the opportunity to play stadiums and having the means to live in a mansion in the year 2010 has everything to do with Michael's solo success. People tell it like its the other way around- but it is not. It isn't. Being successful as a kid is more of a hinderance than an advamntage in showbiz. Look it up- child stars fade, they don't blow up. The Jacksons still being wealthy- from what, their 100k per year sales worldwide? After the record company and the WRITERS (remeber they didn't write their J5 shit) get their money, how much do you think is left? And then split that 6 ways! You think that's enough for Jermaine to be riding around in his rolls royce, ferrari, porche, or whatever the fuck he drives? Think again, folks! | |
