Currently watching JFD. It is kinda messed up how J-Fab got in the studio and tried to take over the JFD song knowing Jackie was the one that came up with it. But then again, J-Fab did ask them to come to the studio and they chose to eat some "bo". Still.

But that "Jackson Family Dynasty" song is corny as hell It's real corny. What bothers me is J-Fab tryna do all the vocals and everything on the track. If MJ were here, he wouldnt have had a lead at all EDIT: J-Fab just had the nerve to say "you have to know how to sing backgrounds. You cant sing them like a lead." Ummm...did he forget they've been a group for over 20 years? EDIT 2: They sound good doing Shake Your Body but are they gonna SING these songs or just do the music to them? I can't see them doing MJ's parts because MJ's voice was so powerful EDIT 3: LMFAOOO @ Tito imitating Joe. "boy, get on up there!" [Edited 1/11/10 14:13pm]

Michael WAS the magic in the group and Randy came in second. Seeing that they don't have either one, I don't see this album's material being worthy of me purchasing.

Yea, Jermaine is acting like a know-it all and I really don't know how they're going to perform without MJ (the lead) and even Randy played a big role in the Jackson's.

Perhaps if they had worked together more without Michael, his absence wouldn't be so difficult to overcome now. Outside of diehards it's going to be hard to get anyone's attention especially emerging again in their 50s. Instead of trying to recapture the magic of what they were, maybe they could reform in a new direction. But all 4-5 have to want it bad enough. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Exactly. It seems like they brothers never really saw much of each other after the group disbanded in 1989. They all just walked away from each other. Jermaine is so wired up on having a hit single, which is understandable, but he's over doing it. I notice he's trying to take charge of everything in the studio. I would love to see footage of how they were in the studio during the Destiny/Triumph era. I'm sure Jermaine wasn't that vocal

As a lead vocalist and being older than Michael he probably got used to running things a bit. Plus he was more used to being on his own. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

!! I think they just gave up after MJ went solo. Lost confidence and everything. Nah they just couldn't stay a cohesive unit. When Michael left, Marlon left so you had Jackie, Tito, Randy, and Jermaine left Jackie and Jermaine disagreed throughout the 2300 Jackson Street, and the 4 of them just couldn't come together on a lot of stuff "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. !! I think they just gave up after MJ went solo. Lost confidence and everything. I actually feel a little sorry for them. Now people just laugh at them but it's gotta be hard to have start from where they came from and then be overlooked as if they didn't have the same beginnings. Altho part of it may have been their own doing by not continuing on and maybe their father was discouraging to them. So many groups have been able to go on even on oldies circuits and maintain some level of success but they didn't lose their (superstar) lead singer or if they did, they still kept at it in some way. Also, very few started as kids and that's also something to consider. Maybe it's time for the next generation. And if Jermaine is so eager, let him try to have his solo career again. The finality and reality of Michael not being there, not even so much as their lead singer but as their brother. Someone to collaborate, bounce ideas off of or even butt heads with. He is not going to walk into the studio with all that energy and love and give feedback or direction or simply bob his head and snap his fingers. I can't imagine what that might be like. I hope one of those group tours is being cleaned up and 'remastered' or Blu-Rayed for DVD. I hope they're busy adding commentary for extra features. And I hope there will be a DVD of their music videos. All... 3 of them. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yeah, they didn't have that many videos Goin' Places Blame It On The Boogie Shake Your Body Down To The Ground Can You Feel It Torture Body Nothin' That Compares To You 2300 Jackson Street any others? and I guess we'll have to wait for Michael's estate to okay the footage (I'm liking the footage I see on the reality show), plus I'm hearing something about a Bad Tour release, so anything's possible "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. I really do find it odd that there is not ONE mention of Randy in any way or form. I know what he says and I know what they say but it's just weird.
