I'm watching the latest episode of the show and Jackie and Tito are my favorites. Every time I look at Marlon, I say to myself "do it like Michael!" and Jermaine is just UGH! Apparently Jermaine was his father's favourite. However I think the reason Jermaine didn't get it too much from Joe was because he was very sick when he was young, he had some kidney disease when he was little, and you know how some parents can go easy on a child if they are sickly.

I'm still trying to figure out what the big deal is about Joe Jackson. I mean the way people go on it's like this man was throwing left-hooks at his children just because the sky was blue. Michael was a sensative person. He wanted to be held, he wanted to be kissed, he wanted a father to physically lean on. And Joe just wasn't made that way. On the outside he seemed cold and stern, even though on the inside he knew he loved all of them. Jackie, Tito, Janet, etc...yea they're all siblings but they're all made different. Michael perhaps needed something from Joe & Katherine that the others didn't.

Oh...and Michael said his father beat him with a belt and a switch sixteen years ago, praised him practically ever since, and all people want to talk about is how abusive he was. Katherine said they were mutually strict, and the other 8 Jacksons have all said their father was old school, save for the years Latoya was hopping around from one station to the next calling him names, branding Michael a pedophile, and talking about how much of a Jew-bashing bitch her mother was. But ALL people want to latch onto is how the Jackson children got spanked. GET REAL.

The media works like clock-work and has no end. Repeat a story enough and the masses will believe it. Michael knew a little something about that. That conversation is so tired and the Jackson's are telling us it's tired but it's too late now...the damage has been done.

What a lot of people don't understand is Michael loved Joe. I've never said anything bad about Joe because Joe raised those boys, hell, the WHOLE FAMILY to be the best that they can be and he succeeded with his teachings. If he didn't do what he did, we probably wouldn't have even heard of the Jacksons, let alone Michael Jackson. People shouldn't blame Joe for the way Michael was when he was alive. Michael never faced his problems, he always ran from them. Neverland Ranch created a barrier against the world and he sheltered himself from everyone. Joe had nothing to do with that.

He just couldn't handle the pressure that Joe put on him. Being the youngest when the group was forming, I'm sure he had to work twice as hard, seeing that he was the "lead" singer. Randy didn't have it hard because by the time he came into the group, everything was already established. The older brothers were, well OLDER, so they understood the sacrifices they had to make.
