Elton Worried about George Michael's mental health!

December 9th, 2009: Sir Elton John and David Furnish are "worried" about George Michael's mental health.

The singer and his civil partner have been contacted by dozens of Michael's concerned friends who have begged them to help the troubled star. Michael gave a disturbing insight into his lifestyle over the weekend when he talked openly about his daily drug use and unusual sexual habits.

The admissions even shocked his friends, who think it is a sign he is headed for a breakdown.

"They keep calling us and saying, 'You have to do something, George is in a bad way' ", Furnish told BBC Radio 5.
"If he doesn't want help or... doesn't think he needs help, that's fine. We're only reacting to what his close friends are saying to us. A lot of people are saying it to us, we get it very regularly.

"They're saying they're concerned about his health, concerned about his state of mind and his well-being and because Elton has been there and experienced sobriety now for 19 years, that perhaps he's in the best position to help him."

Michael claims to have stopped taking prescription drugs, but still smokes cannabis every day.

John - who is clean after beating addictions to alcohol and cocaine - and Furnish have previously tried to convince Michael to change his lifestyle, but he has always resisted, recently giving an interview where he said: "Elton needs to get on with his own life. Elton... will not be happy until I bang on his door in the middle of the night saying, 'Please, please, help me, Elton. Take me to rehab.' It's not going to happen."

Michael was banned from driving for two years in 2007 after pleading guilty to driving while unfit through drugs. He was also cautioned twice for possessing cannabis after being found asleep at the wheel of his car on two separate occasions in 2006.

I really hope if George is in trouble, he gets the help he needs to be healthy and happy. We already lost my favorite performer this year. Don't need to lose another one of my favorites next year. sad

Fuck Elton John. He is SO fucking nosy. He ain't worried about George, he's in it for attention. Elton pulls this shit over and over whenever George does anything that Elton doesn't agree with. George, and many others, have talked in the past about how Elton's group of friends in and out of the business are all a bunch of gossip mongers and LOVE the scuttlebutt when someone else gets in trouble, or does something they deem stupid.

Now while I'm not defending George smoking pot (because anyone that knows me knows I have never touched drugs, and strongly disagree w/ people using them), or whatever, or using prescription drugs, if someone is going to do something, then fucking do it, don't talk to the press about it! Outing his condition isn't going to embarrass him into rehab or to get help. It just makes Elton and his gang of friends look like the usual gaggle of idiots.

For the record ELTON didnt talk to the press, George took this story to the press, and someone in George's camp took this to the press. The last time this happend, again, it was said that Elton went to the UK press to talk about it, but those of you who know ELTON, this guy sued the UK press for a zillion Dollars a few decades ago and they do NOT speak to him at all, or run with anything from his camp for fear of having to pay for it again. This was yet another HYPE buyline, last time this happend same deal, and about a week later when Elton was on the tonight show with Leno, Leno asked him about a "feud" with George, and Elton said, "theres no feud, we are and always were good friends, hes on tour and im going on tour so we dont speak too much and i wish him the best" now clearly if elton was this big "gossip" guy, he could have said this right there, i mean he isnt shy about saying whats on his mind we know that. But i dont think ANY fan of George's career isnt really disappointed in what has become of him, i mean this guy could have been so many things, but just lost the creative edge he had somewhere along the way.

Yeah I don't like it that he went to the press with it. They should've dragged George to rehab if they so-called CARE so much about him.

I admit I worry for George but until I hear another case of him getting cited for drug usage I'm gonna think that in some way he's trying to beat it. I don't want him to go the way of Marvin sans his father shooting him.

I'm glad Elton helped Rufus Wainwright. thats about the only thing i can like about Elton. He has a point thought, you can't help people who are not willing to get help! Plus, let's look at the drug he's on. A drug that has not caused Overdoses, Has not caused death. Although drug trafficking is bad! and people have been killed because of that, I Digress however. My point? Michael's has to come to his realization on his life in order to fully be cured. But then again who's to say, he really not happy that way! I mean certain hedonistic people do tend to be happier than others. I'm not a hedonistic person, but i don't judge others happiness. Hell at least he's not making music.

Who knows what his intentions are, and it may be good. I've read and heard that he and Elizabeth Taylor helped MJ with his drug addition and mental health. If he can help George Micheal, then go for it.

Right.

George has needed help with substance abuse for a longtime now, he has had depression issues over deaths in his family and his partners death. Plus george from day one has said he has weight issues, and self esteem issues, so all of this is almost a mirror of what Elton went through. I mean Elton was high on coke on stage one night he said they did "an 18 minute version of Rocket Man" and no one stopped because they were all High.

But the whole thing about Elton "butting" in is all HYPE and Buylines to sell papers, this stories are ALL fabricated by peoples camps in this case both George and Elton's. But at the end of the day, Elton and George are friends and i know that if he got around things people would not be saying "butt out Elton" or if someone had jumped in on MJ and he was still alive, people wouldnt be saying "oh let him be" , true you cant save people from themselves and they are adults, but it doesnt always hurt to try. I mean Robert Downey Jr. had people all around him trying to get him off "shit" and it worked, so every now and then intervention works and you can TURN THE LIGHTBULB on inside a persons head, if you save one then it is worth it.

Umm yeah if Elton or any other celebrity wanted to help, they would have BEEN there and helped him by now. There wouldn't be no report in the news about someone wanting to HELP, they would just do it. So all of that is just for show rolleyes
