Grammy-winning singer The-Dream has lashed out after his Love vs. Money album did not receive a nomination for "Album of The Year" for the 2010 Grammy Awards which will take place next month.


Writing via Twitter, Dream expressed his displeasure in detail.

"GRAMMY Isnt it FUNNY THE BEST ALBUM OF 2009 DIDNT GET ANOMINATION for the second year strait," he wrote Thursday (December 3) morning. "LOVE VS MONEY GOT NO NOMINATION the last time this happen i had LoveHate out and in the category had written the singles on three of the... Albums ,This time once again ive written on two of the albums ,jamie and B and no Nomination on a whole album of of the shit that got....those albums considered in the first place. I AM BOTHERED KNOWING THAT THIS IS THE PATTERN OF a DYING industry not because of what was.....but what wasnt when i know clearly MY ALBUM BLONG there period.....maybe its my label, maybe its just my ass kissing skills arent up.....to par ,whatever i helped change the sound into what the sound is and my peers vote against me on purpose to denie me the opprtnty .....but call first thing to get a Record. SAD. i wish this on no one else thats probably why we can live in a society and vote people to.....offices where they dont belong because a group of ignorant voters will elect a ignorant person. You are never gonna please everyone, plain and simple, but grow the F up, do you need the + sign from a "dead industry" as you say to make u feel better? So u get a nomination, BFD 12 out 114 awards get televised on the show, and no one really cares to begin with. The Grammy's has jammed in 20+ performances that they hype and hype and hype and then always are nothing but a half fill at best. In the big scope of the things you are part of the problem not a help, you may right the catchy song of the moment but at the end of the day who cares. And dont bitch about the label, if you want to try it independant GO FOR IT, put your money where U TWITTER is, go indie and see if you ever get a nomination for anything, NEWS to DREAM indie's almost Never get submitted for a chance.

There were plenty of over-looks, i mean the whole Best New Artist award, this year should not even be on TV, i wouldnt waste the airtime on this one. U2 shouldnt have been up for Album of the Year clearly, not Rock album. Dave Matthews deserved that nod, but should have been also up for Song of the Year for "Funny the way it is" which was a great well written song, and that SONG category is for the writer and lyrical content, not if it got played alot.

Just a little TIP for the DREAM stop writing and producing for others and just try it SOLO on your own, and see what comes of it, YOU CANT RIDE on others and bitch when you dont get the recognition on your own.

From jump, I thought his first album should have been nominated. The Dream is the writer behind most of these songs we all nod our heads to. He wrote a few of the songs that were actually nominated. Without him, Beyonce wouldnt be callin "all the single ladies" to put their hands up. Even if Dream doesn't deserve to win, he at least deserves to be nominated

I believe he got snubbed and he damn right....this aint no Kanye shit.
