I like it too--the tracks at least. In fact, I think if you stripped most of terrible lyrics/singing away, think it would a great, weird album.

As for Madonna, I'd just like her songs to have some semblance of meaning again--go back to the days of writing song that have an idea in them. Religion, teen pregnancy, whatever. Not like 5 Minutes, which was about...what exactly?

She certainly has alot to write/sing about. In the last two years, she's been going through alot of stuff. It's amazing how many "interesting" things have happened since the Confessions Tour,lol....

*Divorcing Guy
*Adopting a little girl
*Leaving Warner Bros.
*New record deal with LiveNation
*Being romantically linked to A-Rod,and getting caught up in his nasty divorce scandal
*Her new young lover,Jesus

lol She should look at these things and come up with a new album that deals with change and new beginnings....leaving the past behind and moving on.

Snoop Dogg wants Madonna/Stones collaboration
Snoop Dogg is holding out for a collaboration with either the Rolling Stones or Madonna - because he wants to experience what it's like not to be 'the big one' on a track.
The rapper has worked with a host of stars as diverse as Willie Nelson and Justin Timberlake, but his sights are still aimed high for a really big duet.
He tells Nylon Guys magazine, 'I wanna be on a track where I'm not the big one. I wanna do a Madonna or a Rolling Stones or a Quincy Jones - something where their name is bigger than mine.'
'Something where it's like, 'Wow, I can't believe Snoop Dogg is on a track with Rascal Flatts!''

I haven't loved a Madonna album since "Ray Of Light" (preferred the last two before it as well).

I actually loved American Life (hides lol). And Confessions is A+ imo.

I would say of the 2000 albums, "Confessions" is the best, but she's lost her great songwriting chops! Hopefully with new collaborators and new expreinces, she could give us something very worthwhile.

I love all of Madonna's albums (some more than others obviously) except for Hard Candy. I think American Life was a great album which was very misunderstood and underappreciated.
That's why Hard Candy was such a dissapointment to me. I just don't know what happened when she was recording it. HC is really the only album of hers that I can't bare to listen to all the way through. I just listen to a couple of songs like Devil Voices and Miles Away. The rest is really unbearable.
But I was surprised that HC actually got pretty decent reviews from the press. So to me it was so overrated.

she badly needs a 'new' sound again. i'd rather that new sound be
classic rock tracks and lovely ballads instead of another album
filled with derivative dance tracks. she can do them and do them
well, we know. but it's time for something else right now. she's
never been stuck in the same groove for this long.

A rock album would be interesting, but I think it would divide her fanbase shrug Most of her fans seem to prefer dance music.I think she could do a perfect balance of the two genres, while keeping much of it tailored to the dancefloor.

Definitely more ballads. That's what's missing from her last two albums.

I have always wanted M to do a "Garbage" type album. She should work with Butch Vig and Shirley Manson. it'd be dope as hell. esp if she wants to do a rock record - that's what AL should have been. A rock record with elements of hip hop, electro pop and techno with big choruses and highly produced.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Yeah thats my problem with her. Ever since American Life her voice has sounded dead, and it really affected the music too. Thats why I havent really been blown away by anything since Die Another Day, not only her last great energetic filmclip but her last great vocal performance too. And yes I realise half the song is full of vocoder effects but so are some of her later songs and you can still hear the difference of an energetic voice behind it.

Their album was a nice surprise.I wasn't a fan of their earlier work, but when I heard the new album,I was really impressed.Best album of 2009,imo."Rock That Body" is my favorite track.I know that Madonna digs this groove.

David Guetta co-produced that song with will.i.am.Certain parts of it remind me of "Get Together" from Confessions.

a couple things this time around Madonna;

1. no songs about the struggles of fame
2. no rhymes with "hesitaton/celebration". leave those words out altogether.
3. no duets with people that aren't even worthy of being in the same room with you *cough*justin*cough*
4. something with GUITARS please. i.e. Dress You Up, Gambler
5. no more substituting yoga for dance moves in videos.
6. drop the leotards. no matter how good you look.

hmmm well,to her credit, none of the songs on 'Hard Candy' deal with the price of fame lol I think she's 'over' doing songs like that.

I agree with you about the word "hesitation".Lately, she's been doing too many songs with the whole "Let's not wait/let's not hesitate" theme."Hung Up" and "4 Minutes",for example. We get it,Madonna.....time is running out,we need to do good things before the world ends.No need to keep repeating this message rolleyes

I'm quite pleased with her entire catalog.I mean, there are a few albums that I'm not crazy about, but there's nothing that I would delete from her catalog.

never underestimate this woman. she's been written off since day one and to this day NOBODY can keep up with her. hmph!

one small little request MADONNA...could you possibly do a duet with KYLIE or George Michael? heck, make it a trio. no pressure..just throwing that out there. thanks.

disbelief NO duet with Kylie or George Michael.
