I never really paid much attention to Ledisi prior to this album, its the reason why I'm a new fan I love how she mixed it up, as opposed to sticking with the same sound through out the whole album.

Well we agree on a few

Bananarama- VIVA (this album was just a let down, a few good cuts but even the good werent that strong)

Jay Z- the blueprint 3 (alot was made of the record, but tons of filler)

Shakira- She Wolf (i grew out of this album really quick for someone i like alot)

Prince- MPLSound (thats right Prince, packaging this with Lotus was a bad move because of the superior musicianship on one and then Horrible production on the other.)

Thats about it, i dont really hate these records its just i very rarely go back to them at all maybe a song here or there, but no lasting effect. Overall it was actually a stronger year for me on quality releases and surprises.

Ledisi's album really dissapointed me. I'm a huge fan of her Lost & Found and Christmas albums, and Turn Me Loose was such a diversion from the sound of those albums.
