I feel bad for the man. Yes, he is his own individual. But he is Michael's baby brother. Randy just doesn't want to be in it because he's fat now and he's embarrassed. Which is ashame since they should have included EVERYBODY and have it truly be about ALL the Jacksons, or at least the brothers.

Jermaine, we can understand perfectly clear. But why Jackie, Tito, & Marlon?!? They never mess with any of Randy's sloppy seconds! Yea... It was weird on the Today show how Matt Lauer totally acted like Randy never existed

the show? why? I don't know,it just doesn't feel right.I saw the commercial for it and the brothers were practicing a song. It's like, what's the point? If they toured, nobody would go see them. The Jacksons without Michael?? I don't think so. I hate to say this,but...the public hasn't cared about these guys in over 20 years. There's a reason why people stopped caring after the 'Victory' tour.

Have 2 have some cash flow. True but it's a shame that this is the only way they can make money these days. This is why I despise celebrity reality shows. It's a cheap, degrading way to get yourself back into the spotlight.

They really needed to establish themselves as a decent male group without Michael. Jermaine was doing well and could help them along as a group until he messed up. No one else stepped up as a lead singer so If the Whispers or better yet, the Commodores sans Lionel can still make albums and tour the Jacksons could have. The Jackson boys were going to have a reality show even when Michael was still alive. Jermaine was hoping that Michael would make a surprise appearance on the season finale that would have set the stage of The Jackson Reunion Tour. Now the whole concept of the reality show has been reinvented to tell the story of how The Jackson boys are moving on with their lives months after Michael's dead. It has been reported that although LaToya is all in favor of the show, Rebbie & Randy are dead set against the idea. No reports on what Janet thinks of all of this. We've already had La Toya and Jermaine on reality shows over here in the U.K.

"Surviving" makes it sound like there is more than one dead member. Subliminally, it also shows how huge a shadow MJ cast over the entire group/ family. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

They say "survived by..." and list the family names in obituaries so the term makes sense.

Well yes, what else could they say? In all circumstances whether it's been The Beatles, The Supremes, The Temps, TCL or members of a family as Cinnie has noted, this usage is correct, proper I kinda hate to bust some bubbles but Randy will always be an afterthought. When people think of the Jackson 5, The Jackson's period.. it will always be Michael, Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito. Like you, I'm aware of Randy's talents and his contribution to the group but he'll never be considered a spoke in that wheel. The little brother how played the bongos/congos in the background. No different than The Supremes... I bet if you ask most people to name The Supremes they would say, Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard. I doubt if many could recall Cindy Birdsongs by name or even bother to say, 'Oh, yeah, Birdsong she replaced Ballard'. No, many if not most would name the orginal members'. ===== [Edited 12/4/09 9:56am]

The Jacksons are Michael, Tito, Jackie, Marlon and Randy. In the last several years The Jacksons could be any incarnation of all of the brothers since they’ve all worked together in various formation; the main component being that they were indeed Jackson brothers. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I wonder about the possibilities of a new Jacksons album. There must be some old Michael vocal tracks lying around within the Jacksons possession. I know folks are interested in a 'new' MJ album, but this could be an option too.
