I just found this picture on another board. He´s the cutest. That sucks. Well while your waiting you might want to start lifting weights to build up your arm strength, that thing is VERY heavy. Another person on another site said that the day there's came, and FedEx guy accidently dropped it on her foot. She did'nt think that anything was wrong except for her foot being sore, but then she had trouble walking on it,so she went to the hospital to have it looked at,and came to find out that a few bones in her foot were broken. 'Thriller' To Be Preserved in U.S. Film Registry December 30, 2009 Michael Jackson's Thriller video, with that unforgettable graveyard dance, will rest among the nation's treasures in the world's largest archive of film, TV and sound recordings. The 1983 music video directed by John Landis, though still the subject of lawsuits over profits, was one of 25 films to be inducted Wednesday for preservation in the 2009 National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. It's the first music video named to the registry. It had been considered in past years, but following Jackson's death, the time was right, said Steve Leggett, coordinator of the National Film Preservation Board. "Because of the way the recording industry is evolving and changing, we thought it would be good to go back to the development of an earlier seismic shift, which was the development of the music video," he said. Joining the King of Pop in the 2009 class will be the Muppets from 1979's The Muppet Movie— the first time on the big screen for Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy — and the 1957 sci-fi classic The Incredible Shrinking Man, among other titles. The library works with film archives and movie studios to ensure original copies are kept safe. It also acquires a copy for preservation in its own vaults among millions of other recordings at the Packard Campus of the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center in the hills near Culpeper, Va. "By preserving the nation's films, we safeguard a significant element of our cultural patrimony and history," said Librarian of Congress James H. Billington. Congress established the registry in 1989, which now totals 525 films. They are selected not as the "best" American films but instead for their enduring importance to U.S. culture. The library selects films that are "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant after reviewing hundreds of titles nominated by the public and consulting with the National Film Preservation Board. In The Muppet Movie, Kermit leads his fellow TV characters on a road trip to Hollywood where they meet Steve Martin, Mel Brooks and other actors with the magic of creators Jim Henson and Frank Oz. Other notable titles include Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), directed by Sergio Leone, representing the "spaghetti western" genre that helped propel such rising stars as Clint Eastwood. The list also includes Bette Davis' Oscar-winning performance in Jezebel from 1938. The oldest film inducted was Little Nemo from 1911, a mix of live action and animation adapted from Winsor McCay's comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland. The film, highly advanced for its time, influenced future animators, including Walt Disney. Regardless of ongoing legal disputes over rights to Jackson's Thriller, the library holds a copy submitted in 1984 for copyright purposes and will seek to acquire another for preservation. http://www.usatoday.com/l...stry_N.htm

I still haven´t gotten my OPUS. I was hoping that it would arrive today, but it didn´t. I am afraid that I won´t get it until Monday unless Fedex, DHL or whoever is going to deliver it works on New Year´s Eve or Saturdays, which sucks cause I´ll be back at work and they´ll be delivering it in the mornings when I am at work so they will keep on delivering it for several days before they catch me at home and I hoped I could enjoy it during Christmas holidays. DAMN IT. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. Does anyone have this book?
It´s one of the few books that were translated and sold here now after his death and it was wrapped so I couldn´t look inside, but today I found an unwrapped copy in a shop and looked inside of it and I was disgusted. There are beautiful photographs inside, but otherwise it´s full of tabloid BS. There are quotes by Mike and others like LMP they never made and I hate that. There aren´t really that many books available over here about him and I think many people who got into him recently might be attracted to it because of the beautiful photographs and if they expect to learn something about him, they´ll only keep on seeing him as Wacko Jacko. How sad. I hope I am wrong cause I just looked at one or two pages, but that was the impression I got. Too hot! Jackson "Thriller" film picked for U.S. registry (Reuters)
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Michael Jackson's 1983 short movie "Thriller," the song-and-dance horror flick that helped popularize television music videos, will live on in the U.S. National Film Registry. The 14-minute "Thriller" is among 25 films the Library of Congress on Wednesday named to the registry, and it became the first music video included in the 2009 list of cultural treasures that will be preserved for all time. "The Muppet Movie" of 1979, featuring Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, 1975 bank robbery drama "Dog Day Afternoon" starring Al Pacino, the 1957 science fiction movie "The Incredible Shrinking Man" and Sergio Leone's 1968 spaghetti western "Once Upon a Time in the West" also made the list. Jackson, who died at age 50 on June 25 from an overdose of powerful medications, worked on the "Thriller" video with director John Landis. The Library of Congress described the video as a lavish production that "revolutionized the music industry." It played on TV, and was released theatrically on 35mm film. In "Thriller," which was set to Jackson's single of the same name, the singer is out with a girl when zombies start to crawl out of a graveyard. Jackson joins the zombies in a dance, and himself becomes a zombie for a time. In 2007, hundreds of prison inmates in the Philippines performed the "Thriller" dance, in a video that went viral on the Web and has been seen by millions. Los Angeles police are still probing Jackson's death, in an investigation that appears focused on his personal doctor. With the addition of "Thriller" and the other 25 films, the U.S. National Film Registry now lists 525 movies. (Reporting by Alex Dobuzinskis: Editing by Jill Serjeant and Vicki Allen)

The artistic merit of Michael Jackson has somewhat been ignored and many of us are just now understanding As a dancer, looking at that performance and listening to Savion put it in words what I've felt since I was young. It's not always about how complex the choreography is and how many dancers you have backing you. It's about the energy, the detail, the presentation.....that what makes him one of the best, that what made so many people love him. That's what made him Michael Jackson Thank you. Well said. Not everything from 1991 to his death was negative. There were positives in his personal life in those years as well, like his children I always see it as pretty unfair that so much post 1984 is always mentioned in the negative Honestly, I think 1982-1991 was his most creative "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them.
