I remember Portrait very well.
They were the group that came out in the Boyz II Men/Jodeci era (which shut down Color Me Badd era, but that's another thread! ), which also included Shai, Silk, All-4-One, & Az Yet. Too bad Portrait only lasted 2 albums.

Whatever happened to Portrait? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

In the midst of the release of their second album, the lead
singer left to go solo. That went well.Never heard from him and they replaced him with a guy who looked practically just like him. Both of their albums were good imo. I liked these guys better than all the glut of r&b vocal groups that came out in the early nineties. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I love this song. I like "Honey Dip" as well. And Tony, you're still wrong about Color Me Badd. They were contemporaries of Boyz II Men and Jodeci, not ancestors. The sophomore slump is what finished them. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
