Britney & Gaga Cover Up, Strip Down For Elle Magazine It's been quite a year for Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. While Spears has clawed her way back to form with hit songs ('3') and a blockbuster tour, Gaga has actually emerged as the year's breakout star of dance pop and extreme fashion. Both have had 2009's to remember. Now both are gracing dual January covers of Elle Magazine.
Inside the magazine, you can find more Britney Elle images, an inside look at the Gaga cover shoot, and an interview with the 'Bad Romance' singer, in which she reveals her hopes for kids (someday). Sexuality and Art: "My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label. I fought for months, and I cried at meetings. They didn't think the photos were commercial enough ...The last thing a young woman needs is another picture of a sexy pop star writhing in sand, covered in grease, touching herself." Men and Kids: "In eight to 10 years, I want to have babies for my Dad to hold, grand kids. And I want to have a husband who loves and supports me, just the way anyone else does. I would never leave my career for a man right now, and I would never follow a man around." Waiting Tables: "I was really good at it. I always got big tips. I always wore heels to work! I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It's kind of like performing." Goatskin coat with fox fur and marabou-feather trim, Valentino, price upon request, at Valentino Boutique nationwide. Studded leather pumps, Christian Louboutin, $995. A decade after her titillating debut in pigtails and a plaid Catholic school skirt, we find ourselves cheering on Britney Spears once again. There have been, of course, speed bumps in recent years—a divorce, feuds with family, a very public breakdown—but the past 12 months have witnessed a cautious yet emphatic comeback. With Circus, her triumphant 2008 album and subsequent world tour, Britney reasserted herself as a pop music ringleader, firmly in control of the spectacle. The album is the star’s fifth to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200—making her the youngest woman to accomplish that feat. And the nearly yearlong tour, with its elaborate $50 million extravaganza featuring DSquared2 costumes (nine outfit changes a night, including Britney as a trapeze artist, a magician’s assistant, and, somewhat perplexingly, a policewoman), was among the highestgrossing concert tours in the United States last year, rivaling those of U2 and Bruce Springsteen. With another greatest-hits record freshly arrived (and a new single, “3,” which raced up the Billboard chart), we see flashes of vintage Brit, the one we love—blond, happy, and back on top.

I like Britney´s cover. I think that´s a great picture. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
