I'm as Christian as they come. I love my gospel and praise and worship and even a few well regarded Christian rappers. But someone actually sent this video to me thinking I would like it. This is just ridiculous. For one it is legalistic and does not make one want to walk in grace, and it totally gives people a ridiculous notion of christian music. Who makes their kids listen to this hot garbage.  Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

That used to be the rapper Esham's shtick. His debut album was called "Boomin' Words from Hell," and I think he played up a sort of Satanic/early horrorcore aesthetic back in 1989. [Edited 12/9/09 14:08pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I heard about this group on the CBC yesterday! The Huffington Post wrote an article about the buzz they're getting and how ridiculous they are. Apparently, though, while this group of kids are, in fact, conservative evangelical rappers, they wrote this song as a sort of self-parody.
