It's not obscure in my area. Actually, it's very well loved in my area. But it does seem to be obscure on the org though since I've done a thread on it two or three times and gotten not even one response. Oh well, at least I can give you a response this time around. lol

You should check out these other songs by The Soul Children also:

The Sweeter He Is
Love Makes It Right
Tell Me What's Happening Baby

I agree, Andy. Their Stax catalog is really good.
They play their stuff a lot on our oldies AM station.

Y'all got an AM station in your area? We haven't had one in years other than talk radio and gospel. lol

The only reason we have one is because it is a privately owned company. They are not owned by Clear Channel, CBS or any other entity. They have a lot of blues artists are their hosts. Millie Jackson is the biggest. Vernon Garrett, Bobby Patterson and Ernie Johnson round out the "big" names.

Many of the orgers here would love this station. They play obscure songs. Most of the oldies they play are rarely heard on regular oldies stations. They also play lots of blues. Hardly an hour passes that you don't hear Johnnie Taylor, Denise Lasalle, Little Milton, Howlin' Wolf, or Bobby Bland. These arists are played back to back with funk artists like the Bar-Kays, Ohio PLayes, Slave, etc.

We even have 2 gospel stations on am. They both are still locally owned as well.

I'm feeling it!!

I've heard this song for years on the "Old School" R&B station for years, and never knew the name of the artist.
