She's credited with cowriting the hits "You Got The Love", "Sweet Thing" and "Stay" in addition to many non-single tracks while a member of Rufus. She had contributed at least one of more songs to her solo projects.

I remember Stevie discussing it on his radio show about how he wrote the song for Chaka. I think he had heard Chaka singing live during a tour and went home and got the song together and sent it to her.

I'm sure if she did co-write it, it may have been a minor change and they decided not to give her credit.

She came up with the 1st line of the song,,,,,and Steveland came up with the rest.

Mstrustme is correct, Chaka mentioned it in her autobio.

I also read where she was a co-writer of "Tell Me Something Good". This is rather recent news because it has always been said that Stevie was the one and only writer. She also wrote "Angel", from her last album "Funk This".
