Would Rebbie Have Been A Hit If She Was Younger?

Her debut came out in '84 and she was already 34 years old. An old fart in showbiz. Would the public have responded to her differently if she was younger? She's basically Janet minus a choreographer and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

It did reasonably well. It was a Top 40 single on the Hot 100 and a Top 5 smash on the R&B chart.
